I have this Laptop. It has excellent specs. Plus the SSD is really fast. I can boot up machine in 12 seconds. £430 is a good price. I paid £474 direct from HP. All depends on weather you trust MISCOs 2.1/10 pish poor rating to actually deliver your product with no aggravation. Personally I didn't want to take. Risk so i ordered from HP. At least there customer service is exceptional.

this isn't really that good a deal, FHD screen aside, IMO..
i wouldn't pay 430 quid for those specs taking away the FHD. i don't think the screen is worth the extra personally

Misco is fine. But I'd like to say that: on a laptop, my biggest complaint at budget levels is keyboard and trackpad. Had a cheap Lenovo and it was awful. Got a good HP now. Envious of my wife's MacBook
I've bought a laptop and traded in an ancient XP desktop. The terms have changed slightly - XP isn't specifically mentioned now (it was useful because any age computer could be traded in). What you can trade in now :-
" it [the computer] must be a working, complete and undamaged, (reasonable wear and tear accepted). Laptop (minimum 10” screen size), Tablet (minimum 9” screen size) or Desktop. Your Trade-in must be no more than 7 years old and complete with all accessories including working battery and power supply where applicable."
I was gonna go for it but 39.6 cm (15.6") diagonal HD SVA BrightView WLED-backlit (1366 x 768) :disappointed:

Because it's cheaping out. But even on a £430 laptop 1366 x 768 is ridiculous when you can buy budget smartphones with 1920 x 1080 screens these days, this is certainly a frustrating aspect that laptop manufacturers have held onto screens that have been around for a good decade now.
On the other hand it's adequate because I have a 250 G4 in good nick for sale with the i3 5005U. Someone sling me like £170 and it's yours lol

TN panels are cheaper and have a faster refresh speed then IPS screens so it does not need to die but I agree that 1366x768 does need to go.

That's not too bad for the i5 rather have the resolution and cut down the ram and HDD because they are sufficient for basic stuff and can easily be upgraded later.
It's the 2015 model with the full Intel i3 5005u, 4GB RAM 500gb HDD. They did I think a model above with an i5, and a couple below with a pentium and a 255 G4 with some AMD chip I don't recall. You will find it somewhere my particular model for sale is still about £300 new ebuyer etc
This is true, I was thinking of the lower 250 G5 models which are still like £350 new with 1366 x 768 screens lol

Been thinking about this for a long time and honestly don't know what to buy. This is the cheapest option which includes 6200u, SSD and FHD screen but at the same time build quality is not so great.

Poor viewing angle, colour reproduction isn't great compared to IPS panels.
I have a laptop with an IPS panel and a monitor with a TN panel, you can defiantly tell the difference; with IPS producing better colours.
Only reason I have a TN monitor is because of the higher refresh rates.

What is the best way to expand the storage capacity on something like this? Can you install a second HDD or do most people just connect external drives via USB or wifi? I would like a SSD laptop but don't want to be limited on stirage. thanks

Previously people have bought cheap 9" tablets from Ebay. The other problem is how do you prove a computer is upto 7 years old. What they really (only?) want to see with computers is a license sticker.
