This modern hotel is in a peaceful setting with a Blue Flag beach down the road. It’s also got a waterpark packed with everything from speed slides to a lazy river.
Hotel Sur Menorca launched a shiny new waterpark in May 2015. It’s stocked with all the must-haves, like multi-lane racers, speed slides and a lazy river, plus there’s loads for little ones to get their teeth into.
The hotel’s in a quiet spot on the outskirts of Punta Prima. That said, it’s only 5 minutes to town and the beach on the free shuttle bus – or you can walk in it 15

I once went to Majorca in October and it was quite chilly, but you can't argue at the price as the hotel gets decent reviews. You can generally pick up a cheap deal in October though as many are preparing to shut down and are happy to break even.

We went in august and first couple of days were chilly due to the infamous north winds. I say chilly because it was windy and cloudy and pools not heated. They may be heated in October but I wouldn't know. Food was good for my own tastes, for a 3*plus property and better than a lot of 4* we have stayed at. Any other questions please ask.

The pool isn't heated in October and would be chilly for children but it's a great price

Pools aren't generally heated at any time of the year unless the sun comes out and does its stuff, but October is a much cooler month for the Balearics and swimming in the pool is a shockingly cold experience.
One more thing to consider in October is that things are generally closing down at end of season.

I wouldn't have thought so but deffo will need a jacket in evening. Will be like a nice summer in Britain I would think. Will only be 6 weeks after us and it was 30 then. So let's say worst case temperature drops a degree a week on average so I would imagine temperature will be mid 20s. Just checked. Average September is 26, October is 22. So what I said before...

depends if the famous tramontana wind is blowing, if not then the weather is loverly otherwise this the reason menorca is a summer only resort

Went to Menorca 22 years ago and I loved it, but it has probably changed since

We went to Menorca a few years ago in the October school half term and vowed never again.
Lots of shops and bars were either closed or about to close down for the winter but at this price I'm tempted to book even if we just have to stay on the complex.

went here last year. 3 stars is a more realistic rating. water park uses salt water, not really an issue but handy to know up front.

Very good reviews
