i bought this before I posted this deal. Bought it for our new house which we will move into soon. This is freaking huge, hadn't told my wife about the purchase and she was telling the delivery chap its not ours and the delivery chap was telling her to cut up my credit card while bringing it into the house. Too big for my present house but would be OK for new house. Problem is wife is saying it will look ugly in living room. Can anyone who has installed this in living room please upload some pictures of it installed and while screen is down and also when screen is not being used please. Got to convince her to get this installed in living room as short throw projectors are more expensive. Would a 21 feet long living room be OK for getting 120" image with a regular projector or do I still need a short throw projector. As you can see I put the cart before the horse. My old projector is several years old and have not used it in a while and want to buy a newer but not pricy one. Any tips much appreciated

Mate don't worry , it is huge, can look ugly if you don't cover up, did a bit of a diy job and looks much better, just buy some coving and lightweight plasterboard /skirting boards down cover it (bit like a curtain pelmet) will cost extra £50materials and a morning to do but looked better the projector screen itself is fab, you can also get some cheap led lights place them under the pelmet for the 'cinema ' effect
Thinking it would be simpler to invert the brackets (so they're upside down) & bolt the screen direct to them, rather than piddling around with bits of wood?

I live in a victorian house as well, which has massively high ceilings (we still haven't replaced the last owners, admittedly very nice, curtains as they are so long they cost a small fortune to replace with anything of decent quality) & the only screen I could find with a long enough drop (without going for an expensive custom job), was the sapphire, it has an extended top border to allow for high ceilings.

You have to love this blurb from the OP's post Stating the bleedin' obvious really, unless of course you have Lord Lucan riding a Unicorn and getting it to pull wheelies going on in another part of the room, but my guess is that you wouldn't buy a 120" screen if it wasn't supposed to be the centre of attention.

Bought one of these last year and it's great of the price, anyone having problems ordering in Northern Ireland, try it through flubit. via Amazon I wasn't able to get anyone to ship it due to the length of the parcel.
Just in case anyone is wondering, there's no 12v trigger with this and needs a dedicated remote, won't work with IR remotes without modification. I know this is mentioned in the description but someone always asks.

anyone know how well this works for high ceilings? ie am I going to sitting with head tilted right back to watch something or does it drop far enough that you can watch straight on when you have 19th century ceiling heights?

I have a 120" screen. I didn't realise how big it was going to be till I got it. I live in a 19th century home and unless you have a massively tall ceiling you won't be creaking your neck to see it

bought one of these last year, you won't have a problem I doubt, I was able to get about 3-4 foot or black above the white of the screen when adjusting the allen key slot, thought I only really needed half a foot, it was fun getting it to all go back in.

Screen starts about 5 inches below the ceiling if you hang it. And if you have fitted the projector high enough, there should. DBE no problem. Always check your throw distance for the projector, I have benq th670 and fitted it exactly 4.3 m. Away, and almost got the 120inch screen fully fitted. But again the projector is exactly same level on wall just 5 inches low.

I got this 2 weeks ago, and left a review as well. Really nice screen, silent motor, really quite. And well built.
Damn maybe that site only hosts for a short time but none of the links work for me. Sounds exactly what I want to do though as I'll be covering the tv with the screen.

Can only speak for mine, it has two settings, Full or Eco. Full is loud but not hairdryer loud! Eco is extremely quiet, mine sits about 50cm above my head and I can barely hear it in Eco mode, which just reduces the brightness a bit.
You can always ceiling mount if it's too loud for you, to get the fan a bit out of the way.

I've got this and it's very good - makes me wonder even more what could be the difference in a screen that costs 10 times as much. Maybe a bit prettier I suppose.
Only minor gripe is it's an RF control, not IR, so my Harmony remote can't control it. I expect a signal converter/repeater is available but for now I still use the separate remote.
Great for family cinema nights and huge Lego gaming!

Epson TW5210, bit high at the moment but I got mine on amazon for 370 a few months back, great projector and does go down in price quite often.

Does anybody know if it is possible to repair the surface of projector screens, please?
I got an insect crushed on mine and tried to wipe it off but the reflective surface came off and there is now a dull patch in one corner. It happened about four years ago and I have had several Google expeditions since trying to find a solution without any joy.

Large screens like these are difficult to install if they don't have a mount system. My first screen did not so I hoisted it up with chains before fixing to the ceiling.

Bought the 100" version of this 18 months ago for just over £100. On the whole been very happy with it but recently the edges have started to curl inwards. Seems a fairly common issue with projector screens but only noticeable if watching from a side angle. At this price it's a bargain!

i have same as this but 100 inch one, it is perfect i got 3 months ago from amazon for £85 , it works perfectly with my Acer H7550ST 1080p Full HD 3D Ready Short Throw DLP Projector, i feel like i am at the cinema, also i like watching in 3d ,this product is really good if someone wants to buy i decremented

How hard are these to setup?
Would love one in my house but always wondered if playing a movie or ps4 how many wires and how i would set everything up.
Got a 51 plasma but with being around 12foot from the screen feels smaller than I would like.
Would i need to start drill8ng and feeding loads of wires theough roof etc or are they easy to do? Ive not really done much DIY and live in rented property so couldnt really start putting holes everywhere

When putting up this type of screen, it won't have mounts, attach a chain to either side of the screen. Drill two holes in the ceiling and attach the other end of the chain using large washers. You can then hoist it up.

It's ruff but does the job. The gap is because I have my TV on Wall Mount so when the screen comes down it covers the TV.

I've not set up my old 92" manual screen in my new flat yet because the ceiling is too high. anyone got any diy ideas on how to mount it lower down about 1 meter from the ceiling and about 1.5 ft from the wall.
I was thinking maybe of installing a shelf all the way along the wall and reinforcing by putting a wooden block running along the back of the shelf all the way along

It's only a normal 3.5mm plug either end which you can get on ebay.

It will be mains powered.
This seems cheap. I paid 300.00 for my Optoma and some of these screens cost 1000's.
I never use the remote. When I switch on the projector, the screen comes down.
I'd make sure this has a trigger input.

Damn that's huge mine is 84" screen but there is a gap that isn't used so makes the projected 16:9 image of around 74" but it was free so can't complain.
