All homebases are reducing all their homeware stock, bit by bit over the next week because it is going back to DIY.
although there is bargains to be had online this is mainly an in store event....
I hear from someone on another website if you find in store anything that ends in a 3 on the price today, (eg £4.93) find the person with the reducing gun, in the reduced section and it will get reduced further. this was happening in Preston today and they have been told they are doing it at all stores..however it has also been reported this was not the case in another store.. So my advice is there is no harm in haggling you might get lucky
For sure a sale/clearout worth keeping an eye on

Just bought two lamps which were advertised in store as being on clearance at half price, got home and checked Homebase online which states that the clearance items are in store only. Found both lamps online with the full price the same as the so called clearance price? Be aware

are you sure it wasn't advertised at clearance price online... i can view the clearance stuff online just you cant buy it...there is a wee icon then saying it in store only... anyway if it is indeed the case i would be returning to the store armed with the evidence and making sure i got some kind of further discount ...

Just been told by the manager in Sheffield that there will be no further reductions on the items ending with 3p.
Bought a 24 piece utensil set for £6.93 instead of £15. Great for new homeowners.

They were brought by Bunnings - an Australian company. Being Australian myself I grew up with Bunnings and love them! I do wish they would keep the homeware section though as I love shopping there in Homebase for house stuff!
I'm hoping they bring the Saturday sausage sizzle idea with them

Yes been taken over by Bunnings Australia.we go there when we are in Oz.more like B&Q warehouse type,
They don't sell soft furnishings ,hence the clearout.Grandchildren love it they do.workshops on Sunday mornings, for kids, they get to do stuff, like painting watering cans.or planting seeds, and they get to bring the stuff home, all free.
We usually get vouchers, for free coffee as we are grandparents. usually look worn out I guess!

Think the company that bought them is Bunnings ...oh yes, it is - just googled it x...oops should have read back, but the guy in our shop said it was all about having items in stock on the day, he said you could go in and get your kitchen on the day and take it home with you.

Homebase bought by Wesfarmers - Australian business
Homebase seem to be making a lot of changes recently, last time it was "everyday low prices". Are they on the decline, soon to close down?!

They have zero chance of closing down, they're freshly owned by a DIY giant hence the cheaper pricing.

I tried this in Nottingham today and the SA confirmed that all items with a price ending in 3 are discontinued however they refused to reduce the prices further on demand ...they will change gradually dependant on stock.

Thats a shame.. I passed on info in good faith (and still think it always worth haggling)
Hope you agree the sale/clearout is definitely still worth keeping an eye on. I will edit post..
