Just quick format your USB (fat32) Go to the link below and click the link on section 2 to start the download, put it on the USB stick. Switch your TV off on the power button underneath then hold standby on the remote whilst switching the power button back on until you see the firmware flash has started. The French firmware is the same release as the UK that is currently rolloing out, but I gave up waiting.

it's actually very good. you have to much about with the settings to get the best picture. I have a Samsung 4k 48 inch im anorher room and it was similar tho not as fiddly to get right. however if you are interested in this TV get over to the m3300 forum on AV forums. it has 25 pages of info and questions about the set.

I also have this TV and couldn't be happier. The picture quality is great regardless of whether it's off Sky or DVD player etc. For anyone looking to connect via surround sound Amp, the TV supports a CEC function which means you can connect to your amp via HDMI instead of an optical cable.
I'll wait for the UK release of the HDR firmware. Can anyone confirm if it'll be able to HDR upscale Sky? Or does the source have to be HDR in the first place?

Must admit, my HE65K5510 does a an excellent job at up-scalling SD content, it actually looks better than the branded 60inch 1080p set that it replaced. Not used the inbuilt tuner but a source from a Sky Q mini box.
Mine got the update on Thursday night, I must admit I've had to tweak brightness and Contrast settings as the picture was noticeably darker post update - but at least it now has an HDR option in the picture mode selection.

It's has an 8bit panel but uses FRC to "trick" you into thinking it's 10bit. It's a technique used by cheaper TV's and PC monitors where the monitor flashes 2tones to simulate a higher colour bit. It will show as 10bit when your devices are connected but it's not true 10bit.

I have the 50" version and received the latest OTA update last week. Apart from HDR (which is not 10bit, but still looks pretty good) they've also updated the Youtube app, which now supports 4k content.
The only gripe with this tv is the viewing angle of the panel, it's not great, you have to be right in front of the tv to see the best picture.
But otherwise, for the money, this is a great set, games on PS4 are also looking nice, the upscaling it's one of the best, I believe it's a good deal.

I have the 50" version of this tv for about 3 months now. Overall I LOVE IT, here are some things to mention:
- 1080p content (via BT TV and Streaming movies (looks really really good).
- I have the BT Vision 4K box and watch Football in 4K... looks AMAZING (yes visually better than 1080P, I used to think 4k only makes sense on larger sizes... I was wrong) I only wish they pushed more 4K content (for now only 1 channel).
- I have the 4k Fire TV and it looks absolutely great. Both 1080P and 4K looks really really good.
- Motion blur is very good (adjustable) and I have it set to about half way (medium). Action movies, sports, all look great.
- Colours are REALLY REALLY good. (though I don't use the prebuilt settings and instead have set things up manually)
- I will agree the viewing angles could be better, it does force you to be right in front of the TV but when you do that the picture is worth it.

Well it depends. Clearly if the amp can't handle a 4K signal it has to either do nothing (i.e not even pass a signal out) or downscale it. I guess which will happen depends on which amp you have. If your question is will it pass a 4K signal then the answer is NO

It's HDR 10 not Dolby which is activated after the update that is currently rolling out however, the Panel is 8bit colour but uses FRC to "dither" the colours to HDR 10bit. This is a method a lot of cheaper TV's use to "fake" 10bit HDR. It still looks great and there's not much difference you can see between FRC and true 10bit unless you're a pro, just be aware it's not a native 10bit colour HDR panel. The Xbox shows all boxes as "ticked" and working.

I would strongly recommend viewing this TV in person before purchasing. I was about to buy one in RS this weekend but was told there is a huge issue with viewing angle. If you move slightly out of center, colours become darker and faded. The screen looked okay at first from a slight angle but you can really tell how much of an issue this is when you are center on and the screen looks great. They had some green colours on the screen to show me - center on it was florescent green and about 10 degrees off it was a darker faded green

Can anybody find out what the input lag is like on this TV for gaming, (With HDR on) because if it is around 20-40 milliseconds when the HDR is NOT enabled but over 100 milliseconds when HDR IS enabled, then I think ALOT of people could be buying this for HDR gaming on their XboxOneS or PS4Pro without realising that playing games in HDR can add alot of input lag, ( I'm not saying this is the case with this particular TV, but I know this is a very relevant problem with alot of other HDR TV's).
If anybody could tell me a way of finding out what the input lag of TV's is when HDR is enabled I'd really apppreciate it, I have no idea where to look online but I want my next TV to be 4k, HDR and have low input lag when HDR is on/enabled as I plan on playing First Person Shooters/Sports games where reaction times are very important...

Its a VA Panel, all VA panels have a more restricted viewing angle and this TV is no worse than an LG or Samsung at twice the price of this one.
If your really worried then a VA panel is not for you, look for an IPS Panel instead, or at least try and view a VA panel before buying.
After saying all that, the only time I see a reduced viewing angle on mine is when the sun hits the window, in normal light and darker the TV is fine.

I can confirm there is now an HDR option in picture settings, works as expected. The £450 I paid for this TV was well worth it.

I don't have a great deal to compare to and haven't been TV shopping or anything.
But for £450 it looks great to me, both physically and the picture. It's a bit deeper at the bottom than my 40" Sony is but that seems to have allowed for better speakers.
The menus are nice enough to navigate around, lots of audio options i've had a play around with.
Only tried the PS4 and Netflix on it so far (1080p) and thought it looked better than the Sony.(2011 model)

The picture quality is first class, I dont know if the update tweaked the settings but I would say the upscaling looks better today than it did yesterday.
For under £500 this tellys a great buy!

Stuck between this and the Sony Bravia 55XD8005 with soundbar from John Lewis.

Based on the comments, this looks like a solid TV, but if you've got the extra ££ I'd go for the Sony Bravia. Not only are you getting Sony, but 5 year JL warranty and a soundbar worth around £200...

If having a Sony badge on view is important to you fair enough, I would rather save £500 as I dont believe for a second you would be getting £500 worth of better value.."free" soundbar or not.
Spend £500 on this TV, choose extended warranty and your own choice of soundbar and your still saving a small fortune..
Oh and best of all, the Hisense does not have an Android system behind it!!

Did mine tonight and works perfectly.
HDR files look amazing.
The French firmware is the same release as the UK that is currently rolloing out, but I gave up waiting.
Mine is the H50m3300.
it really is fantastic for the price.

Could you tell the difference in sizes?
I'll wait for the UK release of the HDR firmware. Can anyone confirm if it'll be able to HDR upscale Sky? Or does the source have to be HDR in the first place?

Mine got the update on Thursday night, I must admit I've had to tweak brightness and Contrast settings as the picture was noticeably darker post update - but at least it now has an HDR option in the picture mode selection.
I'm currently installing the update (HDR) via the French firmware.
Here's a photo... Tried to get my new Xbox One S in the shot for scale to help others determine the size of this TV.
EDIT: swapped photo for a video!

Edit: Except it looks like the finance site doesn't work. Really hope this hasn't gone in 3 times...
Got to have spent over a 4 grand in the last week on a second hand car, new xbox s , games etc.
As Batfink says above it's Pseudo HDR, but it looks good to me.
The UK firmware should be with everybody by end of first week in October.

The only gripe with this tv is the viewing angle of the panel, it's not great, you have to be right in front of the tv to see the best picture.
But otherwise, for the money, this is a great set, games on PS4 are also looking nice, the upscaling it's one of the best, I believe it's a good deal.
Saw a friends one recently, picture looked good for the price. I would say the Smart stuff all looked incredibly slow so won't be relying on that. That's coming from my 5 year old Sony too...
Great TV after the french update.

I can confirm that before the update, the only box ticked on teh Xbox One S 4K test screen was the top one - now they are all ticked.
I got the ota hdr update last week, no problems at all. It's got the plex app built in as well which is great for me.
And as for your own hdr content, you can play it off a USB, or like me, play it directly on the Tv from a dlna server. Picks up the hdr files no problems at all
Do you think AO is clearing stock? Any chance these will drop further in price later in the year?
In a darker room its absolutely fine, I dont see any problem with the viewing angle at all.
I bought this from Newcastle last week at £479 currently on my wall, not sure if I hit lucky at the time
Also, does anyone know what AO warranty is like? They tried selling me their aftercare plan which I declined, so am I only covered under the 2 year Hisense warranty, no seller warranty?
Our tv is in the corner and we watch it within a 20'degree angle. Will it make much difference?
If your really worried then a VA panel is not for you, look for an IPS Panel instead, or at least try and view a VA panel before buying.
After saying all that, the only time I see a reduced viewing angle on mine is when the sun hits the window, in normal light and darker the TV is fine.
Assume any warranty will be dealt with through Hisense.
With regards to the poor viewing angles, having installed the tv yesterday it just looks like the same viewing angles as most other tvs to me. Even at some silly angle i'd never watch from it looks alright.
'Hello. This is a 10 bit panel and supports HDR10 after the software update due over the next two weeks but not Dolby vision. Regards. Helpdesk' - Sent to me 15th Spetember
Hmm, the 10 bit panel claim sounds like a fib. It's listed as 8-bit here, and the AVForum thread also has people saying its 8-bit. Hopefully the HDR update comes soon though...
