yes you can. purchase games using your current Xbox gamer tag, and when you finally get a console use that same gamer tag to sign in to make it your home console. all of the games you have bought, including free games with gold and backwards compatible games you have purchased will be under my games and apps in the ready to install tab

Yes. You can redeem codes on xbox.com and don't have to download the game straight away. The game will go into your download queue. From what I'm aware the game codes don't have a "use by date" so you could also just keep the code until you need to download it. :smiley:
