Ordered cheers OP! Rated Hot!
Didn't see the 10% discount code at the bottom so instead of £36 I got it for £40 still a good deal but you may want to change the price in the title to £36 so people know to look

Saying 10% code is only for nextbase dashcams

10% off code does not work on this, it only applies to dashcams it seems so you didn't miss out.

The trolley jack doesn't even lift the wheels of the ground on my Passat.

I have this set.
Be warned it does not lift the car high enough to get the axel stands under with them extended, they will just about go under on the minimum setting.
Because of this the set is only good for doing basic work,i can just about manage to do an oil and filter change, and that's without the creeper as on the creeper it puts you too high up to get your head under the car.
Also the jack goes down by itself after a about 5 minutes, which isn't great if you aren't using axel stands,I found this out when I removed a wheel to clean it and can back a few minutes later to find that the car was almost on the floor
All that said,if you are doing like a brake disc and pad change then this set if fine as the creeper comes in handy just to sit on move around on,just don't be expecting to do a gearbox change.

Don't think you understand what I'm saying. Doesn't matter how high or low the car is, if the jack itself can't physically lift the car high enough in order for the undercarriage of the car to rest on the axle stands, you won't be able to use them.

It's worth mentioning that alot of reviews in the past for this set complain that the jack doesn't lift the car high enough in order to use the axle stands, so it's pretty pointless, if that's what you're looking to do.
I brought the axle stands alone for £12 and they're very good quality. Brought a seperate jack from a different supplier which lifts the car high enough.

Surely it depends how low your car is...?

I bought this kit a couple of years ago with the thought I'd do a bit of work on the car. In the end I changed car so it's completely unused in a box in the garage. Anyone in Northampton want to make me an offer for it feel free.

I need to lift a 235kg empty fish tank from a van into a house and up onto a stand.
Suggestions? That don't involve a football team of people.
And since this is HotUKdeals...cheap as humanly possible.

1. Two or three people who you can trust ??
2. Move the stand near your car and leave it outside as a garden ornament
3. Wooden blocks to raise one end at a time ... Possibly using furniture as levers etc

You could see if anywhere can do a one day hire of something like this http://www.lifting-equipment.co.uk/p/HYDRAULIC-SCISSOR-TABLE/6OH__Vu6XkSE/h
If you're thinking of lifting it between several people, it might be worth hiring or buying some good quality suction cup handles (as used by glazers etc.) to avoid slipping hands and losing grip etc. Partly depends on the dimensions of the tank too as obviously you'll need to negotiate doorways and other obstacles so there might not be room for people to be crowded around it.

That is a huge fishtank: I am guessing around 350 gallons and probably 6 foot long. In that case you really need to spread the load very carefully. Unless you have a perfectly flat surface to move it across then trolleys are going to be tricky. I suggest you get the van as close as possible to the house and get four fit lads to carry it in. Buy them all a beer. Total cost around £12.

So is this a decent deal?
I've got a £10 off a £40 spend voucher from a recent bike purchase, I currently own a Cooper S Countryman and I'm looking at getting an MR2 roadster - would like to be able to change brake pads/disks in the garage.

Tbh I was never able to get enough height out of the jack to fit comfortably under my car using the creeper as it sits quite high. It doubles as a useful tool cart though while you're scrabbling around on your back.
The jack itself is lightweight and easy to manage. The axle stands seem decent enough to install confidence that they aren't going to buckle after the slightest breeze.
Pretty useful all in all.

It's also worth noting that the jacks are absolutely appalling in these.
Barely does 30cm well, nevermind higher.

worth mentioning these are always on offer, particularly around christmas, for around this price, but a good buy none the less
