Bought a 'guild' jigsaw other week for £9!! Ans was very impressed, expected its to be cheap quality but feels really solid, 2 year warranty is a big bonus too

Alnwick also out of stock of this.

Store in Fareham many items In stock but some not available . But they have just received 40 pallets from the warehouse and don't have the staff to finish sorting first thing on a Saturday morning. So that may be the case with other stores.

FYI. Guild is Home Retail's own brand of power tools. Home Retail is the parent company of Homebase and Argos.

Gateshead rang me to tell me they didn't have enough stock to fulfil all the orders overnight, and Blyth has also got shut of all it's stock since last night. D'oh.

I don't know for sure but I guess Bunnings would not want to use the same names for the house stuff own brand goods as Argos /Sainsbury after the split. Guild brand is new so I don't think these are clearance prices, more of a strategy to become more aggressive player in DIY and take on Wickes and Screwfix etc. Just hope they don't change the Store name from Homebase to Bunnings as has been rumoured.

Thought it was an reversed S shaped key with round ends, this was bought about 6 years ago.

I could do with one of these as I have lost the key to change blade for my aldi one. Seems to be collect only nearest stock is Gateshead.

Im pretty sure I saw one of these in a video, but it definitely didnt have a serrated blade on the end of it..

Lots of Guild tools on offer. I saw it in homebase haringey today. they had drillers, etc

... a remarkable price for a reciprocating saw. I don't know this brand, and suspect the quality would not be good enough for a tradesman, but perfectly adequate for the DIY user.

Agree, the new Australian owners of Homebase certainly are bringing prices down. I got a Jigsaw for under a tenner.

comes with 2 year guarantee, lidl and aldi usually do similar once a year for £30 with 3 year guarantee. I wonder if Argos will price match?
