I signed up for a monthly subscription earlier and it was a nice surprise to see the other games revealed as I don't own any of them so wwe, sheltered and banner saga are more than worth this month's sub alone.

Err... that's last months games, you won't know what games you get until 6th October.

If you subscribe right now do you get Soma and WWE 2k16 etc?

No, you gamble on what the extra games are each month and once they are revealed you can no longer buy that bundle.

Bought Grim Dawn last month when it was on sale, a very good ARPG by the people who brought you Titan Quest. It is what a lot of people hoped Diablo 3 would be (not that Diablo 3 is a bad game in its current form). While it was worth the cost I'm a bit disappointed I didn't wait a few more weeks and get this, but hind sight is a bitch

Amazing, I really hate this gambling system. I wish they just told us upfront what's in the bundle.

I have to decide between this and the Starcraft 2 Battlechest from Amazon

Yeah I agree, if it was £7 I would probably stick with it but the exchange rate makes it quite expensive for a gamble.
The worst thing is getting stuff you already own!
Fortunately this month paid off as I really wanted Soma, WWE was a pleasant surprise (haven't played a wrestling game in years), whilst Epistory looks interesting.
On the fence this month as I can't use the 10% new subscriber discount, and although Grim Dawn looks good it is yet another game I may never play.

Let it go, the vote is done and we currently get about 10c less to the pound. I mean it's not like we had a massive drop in the value of the pound while we were being governed by the EU which this one pales in comparison to is it?

I think you'll find those are pounds, not bucks. In bucks it's 25.
That's what the other bundles are for. The Monthly bundles have been hit and miss, especially if you already have some of the games, but there's definitely always more than $12 of value in them so just sell or trade the ones you don't want and it will never be a waste of money.

Normally you're getting your money's worth, even if 75% of the bundle is throwaway. For the past few months the headline games have been things like Rocket League, Mad Max, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 (Multiplayer), and now Soma.
This month's bundle in particular was quite a welcome surprise, with not only Soma, but also WWE 2K16, and Sheltered included.
It's obviously not for everyone, depending on your money situation, but I can't say I've ever been outright disappointed by the selections.

Thanks. That explains the overall 'Very Positive' reviews (from over 10,000 ratings). I'll consider myself warned. :smirk:

The vote may be done but Brexit hasn't even happened yet, so who knows how bad things may get.

Not going to get into a debate about this on a site that is for deals. You can live your life worrying about what might be, but I'm happy enough to get on with mine and live in the now.
On the deal itself, while the contents of the bundle is a gamble, the featured game is worth the price of entry alone if you like that type of game. 93% positive reviews on steam should attest to that.

Why so defensive, though? I was just being humorous.
