Thanks  Even more tempting to give this a go then. Turn based combat is something I've never been able to get my head round :disappointed:

Hope you don't mind me asking folks, how does the combat work? Is it turn based? Or more hack and slash? Or something else?

Anything like Phantasy Star?

it's a very stripped down monster hunter if that series has ever felt to daunting. You only have a weapon and shield to craft or upgrade so no countless hour's grinding for materials for a full armour set etc.

It's similar to Monster Hunter on the 3DS. Hunting and defeating giant creatures and monsters using various weapons of your choice. Character and weapon customisation is there. I'm playing Resurrection first to understand all aspects of the game. It will require some commitment though. I'm enjoying is so far. Highly recommended.

For all intents and purposes, it is a Monster Hunter clone. God Eater is a third person action game where you take quests (on or offline) and hunt monsters known as aragami. There are some light RPG elements but only in the sense of what equipment you use and what kind of damage/protection it provides.

I actually wanted to ask about this game, what exactly do you do? I'm a bit on the fence as to whether to buy it or not
