Good price for gluten free pasta at Aldi - two types. Cheaper than all the other chains - £1.20 at Asda, £1.89 at Waitrose for example. Good news for coeliacs! Only a special buy, not a stock line. Get 'em while you can!

you're all wrong* there are several conditions affected by Gluten and/or Wheat . In fact any grain with a gluten like structure can affect the gut. This is why gut-disorders have soared because when wholegrains became popular the digestion systems started to get overloaded and blocked up. And this not even included the anti-nutrient factors or autoimmune disruption. Sure, on the whole maybe only 10% of the population, but thats still a lot of people who have a demand for it.

maybe they were being sarcastic. or maybe they were genuinely surprised at the amount of attention it got? do you always scorn people who are willing to admit their previous ignorance? in that case we should never learn anything because that a silly thing to do.

1 in 100 people are Coeliac where gluten free is a must. Others are avoiding gluten due to various health conditions e.g IBS.. This post will help many people. good work op and Aldi, your helping bring down the price.

actually people with ibs shouldn't be affected by gluten. unless of course they have ncgs or celiac disease. I agree that this post is relevant and will help a lot of people. But including a category of people that are not affected like you did just gives reason to make comments like the above.

You don't have to celiac to have to avoid gluten, my wife has a condition that means she has to avoid gluten as well.
