Ahahaha, well that answers that then! I've seen the Gigabyte G1 Gaming 1080 going for £583 on there a few times and very nearly pulled the trigger. It's OOS at the moment so I'll try adding it to cart next time it's available to see what it thinks I should have instead!

Ordered this and just waiting for delivery and then read that gigabyte is prone to coil whine... haven't tested it yet but hope this isn't true as Id rather pay a little bit more and have a quieter gfx card.

I have this card. Coil whine is basically a non-issue on mine. There is the tiniest amount of coil whine that is only audible if you have your ear with in 10cm of the case and that is in a silent room at night while other fans (including gpu fans) are off. From 50cm or so it's very hard to hear and from further it's inaudible. The actual fans on this thing are also fairly silent during gaming, even in a 32C room. And you can get them even more silent by reducing the power limit in msi afterburner while increasing core and memory clock speeds to get more performance at the same time.

If the card has arrived could you let me know if the Gigabyte logo in this card light up? Is it a single colour or RGB? How is the coil whine? Cheers

I went for it, Amazon has their A-Z guarantee. Yes it was a scam, I got my money back within 5 minutes of contacting Amazon's customer service. Had to try!

I bought mine from flubit using there 15 day free elite offer and using ebuyer for the website to match it.It arrived 3 days later and very well packaged and set me back £230 nearly a month ago.
Overall a very nice card with 3 years warrant and they have a UK RMA base for fast returns unlike most of the other brands.Works perfectly and my 500w corsair PSU is louder than this card which is really quit when gaming.

Still umming and ahh-ing between a 1060 or a 1070. Then again, with the state Win10 Anniversary Update has left my macine in I'm probably going to have reinstall; maybe that's my cue to just build a new machine instead...
Anyone got their card via flubit on mine it still say Awaiting dispatch, delivery time is between 24th and 28th Sep
