I agree I now buy from a known shoe shop and they last the whole of the school year. Pay once and reap the benefits.

Had the same problem before buying cheap crap from Deichmann, Debenhams and other places, with school shoes, the mantra buy cheap buy twice (or more) is very appropriate. Do yourself a favour and just pay for a decent pair from Clarkes or another real shoe shop.
