I got the 300g fruits of the forest, but they also had raspberries. According to that 'eat well for less' bbc programme, they're as good as fresh, cheaper, and with no waste

The lidl bags are 500g or 750g, for £2.29, depending on type of berries. Lidl price label says 1kg for £4.580
They also have the bags of raspberries & strawberries. I prefer the Black Forest mix for a morning smoothie

Thanks  how do you find the bags? I'm asking as daughter got some in a bag onceover, they went into one solid lump in the freezer and had to be used all in one go. Think they were Sainsbury's. I did like the fact that these Heron ones were in a clear tub, and were individually frozen. I did post a pic, but it was replaced.

These are individually frozen and are in tubs, and are 300g. The tubs are clear so you can see exactly what you're getting.

I've been using them & Tesco bags for a couple of years, & had no issues. I'm guessing if you're leaving them for a while or the temp isn't right, then they could freeze into a ball. They do break apart. It's more of an issue if you let them thaw, then freeze again. All turns a little mushy. Still fine if they're going in a smoothie though.

According to that 'eat well for less' bbc programme, you should never get a takeaway and always make a curry instead 'because its cheaper'.
Shut up Greg!

Sorry... But they're absolutely right  I cook loads of curries, and they're all basically the same- cooked down fried onions and zapped tinned toms with spices ( Asian grocers) and meat.

no they're not! the point of having takeaway is because you can't be bothered, not because anyone ever believes it saves them money!
what you talking about onions...

Haha  I can literally make it whilst I'm buzzing around the kitchen doing other jobs though. Ohhh, I bet you could make one in the time you're waiting for a take away to arrive? Maybe? :P

I'm very lazy and hate cooking, I also hate takeaways, which is probably an unusual mix, I just never trust them to be clean. And they are deer. Much prefer Indian ready meals.

They're £2.29 for either 500g or 750g. Not a kilo, I was in there today.
