I've checked a few different school holiday sites and this seems to fit with quite a few school holiday dates. You leave London Gatwick on the evening of Thursday 6th April and return back in the early hours of the 14th April.
In Majorca you will stay in Porto Petro, it's not your typical resort, but the reviews are positive and it is walking distances to beaches and the supermarket, and as I've included car hire you will also be able to get out and about and explore.

Flights are an excellent price and with that would be happy to spend a bit more on accommodation. I'm looking at Lanzarote for a family holiday at that time, but holding off booking because the Ryanair flights are £250 each although accommodation there seems, generally, cheaper than Majorca

Low 20's, but plenty of sunshine during the day. Too cold to swim outdoors unless heated pools.
