Saw this in my local pound stretcher in Derby, have also been in Nottingham and seen them at the same price, checkout assistant said it was national date is till the end of the year

Agee. Simon needs to live life dangerously occasionally.
Most products 'best before dates' are intentionally underestimated so it's still ok on the shelf up to the date on the product. Some products last months after that date. These type of product tend to degenerate overtime to the stage they will be unpalatable.
Eating after the 'Use by date' is the one which can be dangerous.
To be honest I would be more worried about the state of the kitchen of a fast food takeaway.

Remember my yank workmate being asked if he wanted french or english mustard on his sandwich.
He assumed it was this crappy american stuff as opposed to proper french mustard and asked for lots.... so they obliged.
He cried as he ate.

Very short date code, you'd need to love this stuff to use it up. Picked one up to buy, but put it back on the shelf when I saw the BBE date.
