I always believed that check in staff are Airport staff , even if sometimes they are dressed in crew uniform.
What documents were they trying to verify? Did she not have a visa ? Please elaborate

I'd have to agree, very average. Staff seem to be rushed too.

Yes, id90 is 90% off, but it's standby. id50/special tickets are confirmed but 50% off. That's how it is for emirates anyways.

Blimey! They charge £205 if you want to change a date. That's basically the same price for booking a new ticket?!

Avoid this appalling airline at all costs. Their check in staff denied my wife boarding on an India bound flight from Manchester during Easter last year due to their failure to verify her documents properly. We were traveling with our 4 year old at the time and the airline subsequently refused to rebook her on a later flight (despite it being apparent they were at fault) thereby ruining our long awaited holiday.
They also failed to pay my wife compensation under EC261/2004, following which we filed a claim through Small Claims.During the course of 5 hearings over 12 months, the airline spent over £16000 on a group of barristers specialising in aviation law to contest the claim before comprehensively losing the case in June 2016. As we were representing ourselves, the airline used a combination of dubious legal tactics and frank bullying (even contesting my wife's return fare from Manchester Airport to home on contractual grounds among other things) in order to force us to withdraw the claim. Even after losing the case at the final hearing that ran for over 3 hours, Etihad has continued to insist that the judge got it wrong but that they had decided not to appeal the verdict out of their generosity (although they had been advised by the judge that any application for appeal would be refused)
Even the barrister who represented the airline at the final hearing was surprised at the aggressiveness with which Etihad had chosen to pursue the matter. According to him Etihad has a policy, unlike more honourable companies such as BA, of never accepting liability and is known across the aviation industry for treating its economy customers like dirt.
They may be marginally cheaper than competitors but rest assured this disgrace of an airline would treat you with utter contempt if anything goes wrong during or after the flight and will drag you through court even if they were entirely at fault..

Id90's if that's what you are referring to aren't necessarily 90% discounted :man:

I did not enjoy the economy class experience last time we flew with them from Manchester, they really pack economy in. Also price not much cheaper than other airlines from Heathrow.
