haha. as the Op you can just thank me for posting such a great deal, no need to thank god , although dont sue me for falling off a saddle laughing at such an extortionate price like the others.

My aldi gloves and winter trousers have lasted a couple Aberdeen winters, sure they're not as good as the gore equivalents I have now (agreed re liner pulling out but have had that with others too) but definitely have been good value to thrash on mucky winter commutes.

I agree with the Aldi comments. Everything I've had from them (cycle related) hasn't lasted at all. Clothing sizes are pretty rubbish too.

Which one is better this pair of gloves or altura night vision ones?

Depends if you're going to wear them on your hands or over your eyes

Guest you don't understand any bikes pricing above £100 either, do you?

The last pair I bought 10 years ago finally developed a hole in a finger this summer despite cycling daily. I don't need a brand name on my gloves.

Although something from a quality brand / specialist shop with 200 reviews and 94% of reviews "would recommend" for £14.99 is better than £4.99 cheap tat from a super market

the extra £10 just looking at the photos compared to the Aldi ones seems a bargain

I once tried on a cycling jersey in Aldi,, There was a loose thread which I pulled and no lie... the whole sleeve seem came apart
People can say what they want but the Aldi stuff is cheap..and cheap doesnt mean quality

I've also had the fiver aldi gloves and they make your hands sweat and are then difficult to take off and put back on again. A fale economy.

Just bought an excellent pair of thick, lined, gloves for £4.99 in Aldi.

Agree! Mine lasted 2 commutes before ending up in the bin!

Have a pair of these. They've lasted 5-6 years.
They're water resistant but not water proof. The lining inside does come away when you have wet hands, but I've had no issues shoving them back where they belong.

These aren't winter gloves, late autumn, mild winters day maybe, but when it get 5c or below I use motorcycle gloves; waterproof and warm but still flexible.

As it turns out you do get what you pay for. £15 is perfectly reasonable for a warm pair of gloves. ALDI gloves are tat compared to Endura, a quality brand with good value products. My Enduras are nearly three years old and are going strong despite taking the brunt of multiple off-road crashes.

Has anyone tried Evans FWE range clothing?

Had 2 short gloves from aldi I agree false economy didnt last at all. Stitching came off very cheaply made. However their padded shorts are decent enough mind you stitching also rubbish but held out longer.

Some very good winter cycling gloves at Aldi at the moment - cheaper too.
Those cheap gloves are a false economy. Nothing more maddening than trying to get your fingers back into a pair where the liner has come away. I'm speaking from experience. I bought a pair from Aldi last year ; now consigned to the bin.

I recommend Decathlon for Winter gloves. Especially good value in the sales.

No, I never had any problems with the inner lining coming out

I've had some of these for about 4 years. Just starting to fall apart so I'll probably get another pair. Good value at this price. Maybe it's cos I'm getting old and my circulation isn't as good as it used to be, but I found these weren't keeping the cold out through the coldest winter months, anything below about 5°C, and they weren't totally waterproof in proper downpours. Very comfortable though, and plenty flexible enough for braking and changing gear. Thanks whatyadoinsucka

Do you have to be careful when taking your fingers out of the gloves , I have a pair of gloves which do my head in as the inner liner comes out and then will never go back in the right finger slot
