Just an advance notice that Easyjet have finally announced a date for 2017 seats.
Travel between: 26 Mar – 25 Jun 2017
• Spring 2017
• Easter 2017
• Half Term May 2017
On sale 6th OCTOBER 2016
I've posted this in deals but seats won't be on sale til 6th October. I was going to post in the miscellaneous section but I didn't think it would get noticed and for those that need half term seats you'll probably want to set an alarm/reminder as those seats will go quick!

Cheers, been waiting to buy some flights for next year.
Bit rude, someone's only trying to be helpful, and looks like most other people think so apart from you.

This Thursday – the cheapest time to book millions of seats? Includes Easter 2017
Easyjet's prices are fluid and move based on demand for any particular flight. When they're released, they're usually priced cheaply, then this can change quickly depending on how many are booking. So if you can pounce when they're launched, you're often getting the very cheapest deal.
When does it launch the tickets?
They're released in five tranches throughout the year. Easyjet's prices are based on demand, so be ready to buy on the day it launches a new wave of tickets and you're likely to get a good deal.
This Thursday (6 Oct 2016) tickets go on sale for travel from 26 Mar 2017 to 25 Jun 2017, including flights over Easter and May half-term. There's no one release time – tickets are likely to go on sale in batches throughout the day, though previously many tickets have gone on sale very early.
Of course, Easyjet may break previous convention and Thursday's price may not be cheapest. Yet in the past booking on seat-release day has worked well. Use common sense when you see the price though, and always do a flight comparison to see if other airlines can beat it.

Always good to have information, especially if need seats on certain dates, but remember the first release of seats isn't necessarily going to be the cheapest. A small degree of flexibility with travel dates in a sale week can save a massive percentage of the release price. This is when they use price to fill seats on particular days which they're struggling to sell.

paid £350 for a family of 4 to fly to nice from edinburgh over easter. Was hoping for £250. made an 8 day booking instead of 7 to drop the cost by £50. still worthwhile for us as , now the kids are at school we simply cant afford the accomodation costs in the summer holidays which treble. we'll be taking our overseas holidays in easter and october for the forseeable future i think.

Well I'm on the phone trying to use this voucher, got the two flights I want in my basket online just over £150 ready to enter payment details, agent is trying to tell me they are £280! All because Easyjet won't let you use vouchers online, grrrrr.
zabada
6 Oct 16#58
When using a voucher on the phone, they should honour the online price as you cannot use the voucher online. If the agent won't, ask to speak to a manager.

"easyJet is a digital airline. Our Customer Services Team is there to help customers who are unable to manage their bookings online or are in need of special assistance. Yep, they have done this now, but charged me £14 extra for making a booking 'by phone' even though I can't book any other way. The only reason I've got a voucher is because they changed some previous flight dates/times so they had to refund me for a previous flight.
Either way I've got Santorini in May BH week so ideal for some island hopping.

stressful morning. i knew the flight prices went up with demand but didnt realise all the other costs did. even the seat booking charge increased from 3.99 to 4.05 while i was trying to place my order. lost 16 quid based on the price when i first tried to book as opposed to the ultimate price when it finally allowed me to check out.

Same happened with us. Wife was booking it and waited to ask if we'd want hold luggage for 4 days away in Madeira. In the 10 minutes she waited, price went up £18. Arghhhhhhh..... But still happy (Edi to Funchal for £148 for 2).

6 Oct 16#63
The CS rep on the phone messed up the name for my daugher - firstname/surname interchanged - if I try changing online it asks for 30 quid for the change. Not sure if they are strict about the firstname/surname thing - if they are then I guess I have to call them again and see if they sort it out?

I've avoided using Easyjet for my family holiday next May after a bad experience this time last year! In the rush to buy flights on release day I ended paying quite a lot (more than I wanted) but I could see the prices were going up and up as I was mulling it over. When I checked the same flights the following day they'd dropped by £400! I called to query this and they explained that the prices go up as people "look" at flights, even if people subsequently don't buy them. They gave me a voucher for the difference, but I'd already bought my annual flights so couldn't make use of them myself, and struggled to even give them away to friends/family as people didn't want the hassle of having to phone up! If you've booked today, it may be worth checking prices over the coming days in case they drop.

Never been charged for a booking over the phone that couldn't be done online. For some reason they're more likely to charge a telephone fee for vouchers but once I explain them that it can't be done online they take off the telephone charge.

Its the usual scourge of the school holidays when it comes to the prices - dates outside of the hols are still relatively cheap - but anything in the holidays are manic, and being parents to 2 kids who go to schools we are always at the mercy of these crooks who fleece us no end if we don't book months in advance.
