when I search driveclub in ps store through the phone app it's not showing the driveclub season pass, any thoughts?

Thanks OP, it's deals like this that make this site so essential. I had no idea this was coming out, let alone that there was a limited time to get it at less than half price.

Where from and how much did you pay for the vr?

That's nice. I bought the season pass a while ago for £5.99. I've just pre ordered this, happy days. Have some heat

Not great if you don't already own the season pass obviously.
I imagine there'll be a release with all the content together including vr for £40ish so maybe best waiting for that if you don't have any of the other content already like myself...

With owning the season pass, i couldn't of seen my self paying £35, but at £15.99 this price is much better! Thanks op!

Hey man, thanks for that.
Just got mine last night, I was going to buy that game as my first vr game anyway.

Anyone know if this will have trophies as an 'add-on' to the main game or have its own Platinum trophy? - Could be the first game to include 3 Platinum trophies?!
Took me months of play to get the main Driveclub Platinum, had so much fun doing it and I'm about half way through Driveclub Bikes.
AbandonedTrolley to super_leeds_86

I would assume it will take the role of a new game, the Driveclub game maxed out the allowance of trophies with all it's DLC (first game to do it), they then had to add the car DLC trophies in to the Driveclub Bikes expansion which had its own trophy set
Not true, Ex Evolution continued work on this game even after Sony shut the studio

normally yes, but the Driveclub season pass is/was widely acknowledged to be considered the best value for money a season pass has ever offered, it was £19.99 for a monthly update of cars and challenges for a whole year.

sorry to ask, I know I can look it up, but can someone succinctly explain what on earth a season pass is?

It's like buying all the dlc in a package rather than buying them separately. Sometimes even get to play things first (for example, the Star Wars Battlefront season pass holders can play the new expansions before it gets sold separately for people that didn't buy the season pass).

Great deal and deservedly so for those who'd bought the game and season pass previously. Gutted personally as I bought the game last month when I got my steering wheel in readiness for the VR version and have been enjoying it but never thought about investing in the season pass. Still worth £34.99 for the full VR version though.

I was so sure I owned the season pass for this.... apparently I don't. Very sly of them to block you from buying the season pass now but I understand the loyalty side of it.... give those that had the season pass already a special offer

Appears to have cut off last night. Only just discovered the sale for the season pass had ended yesterday too so it's back up to £9.99. :disappointed:

this looked great on the demo I saw, do he graphics take a hit in vr though ? they are amazing in game I'd of thought it would struggle to cope from the other demos I've seen

Did it take them ages? Also didn't the developers get axed by Sony?

I guess it was stupid of me to think this would of been free for anyone who owns Driveclub already.
schnide to ShineHunter
29 Sep 16#12
Unfortunately, it'd be simply mad to give it away for free to the owners of the current game. The sales from the first game would've gone to paying for that to be developed. Meanwhile, the developers have been working on the VR game for absolutely ages and understandably need to make money back somehow for that too.

So I buy driveclub and season pass bundle tonight I can upgrade to VR for 15.99, where's the info for this?
Same here. I did consider getting the season pass not long ago but figured the discount may not be a big difference and thought of going for a physical copy. Kinda wish I went for the season pass now from the sale

I wish they gave us notice about this. I stopped playing DC when I knew a VR update would happen and so never got to the point of needing the season pass.

Fantastic deal, I was prepared to pay £35 and was waiting for the pre order to go live so I'm pleased with this.
Opening post
The game will be released on 13th October
For the people that don't have season pass, it will cost a full price of £34.99.
Edit - Anyone that wants to buy the digital version but don't have the season pass, can check out the link below for a deal to get £35 worth of PSN credit for £30.99 in msmyth post.
