Really good head torches these, I have a few I use for fishing.
Will be handy for walking dogs etc now that we are approaching the clocks going back. The batteries included with this normally cost more than £5.69.

Sorry mate, this isn't the forum for safety first messages. We only want cheap as chips and if there's a risk of your headtorch exploding when you are wearing it we'll all be doing the 'can we return it, get a refund and a £5 Amazon voucher".

Lithium Ion rechargeable batteries can be very volatile and need to be treated with respect in term of charging, storage and use. I'd strongly recommend that if someone needs to use these batteries that you read the following link:
Furthermore, I'd strongly recommend that people don't spend 99p on a product that has a greater risk of explosion or catastrophic fire, instead spend at least a few quid per cell from a reputable supplier.
These aren't like the AA's you buy from Asda - they need proper care.

A workmate has this same one and it is good value and quality.
He paid around about a tenner 12 months ago.
The batteries alone are about a quid each.

These are good little headlamps I use mine for a back up fishing lamp. On high setting they give off a really nice beam of light, even better than my LED Lenser H7R.2 . Battery life isn't great on them but paired with a couple of spare batteries it does the job nicely.

arrived today.
christ, that's bright!
a note in the box to say you had to take the cells out of their wrapper would have been useful,
unpacked it, didnt work, so stuck it on charge. an hour later, still nothing. wasnt until i investigated further and found the battery pack lid was removeable that i realised my error....

Mine arrived today and the first thing I did was to take it apart; As expected, the DC charging port is wired directly to the battery terminals.
So.. Don't use the included USB charger. I took apart the mains adapter but couldn't find the datasheet for the control chip. It does include an Red / green led and two transistors so it could, potentially, safely cut-off but it still charges both cells in parallel Ideally you want each cells monitored individually
TL;DR: Don't use the USB adapter or something will go up in flames.
