I'm afraid not! I emailed them and they simply said that some purchases require a PayPal account. They didn't bother replying when I asked for the reasoning. Since I am banned from PayPal for life for letting someone else use my account this isn't an option for me. I still do want this so may ask my other half if her PayPal is still active

​Actually they are obliged under the consumer rights act as it forms part of the buying decision and you could then refuse the goods within thirty days, used or not.

Just went and used my Very £20 off/refund code to get this for £54.99.

Your stand is pointless as millions of people will still buy it. Do i like this? No but theres no way i'm not buying cod 4. Its one of the best games i've ever played. Also this confirms they wont sell it standalone otherwise why would this require the IW disc? Not much i can do but this is my last cod i will buy. Once i have cod 4 i won't need another new cod game again.

Stupid? Well yes and no. Obviously they see the financial benefits but on the other side they have left fans of the franchise angry. Such as myself who has put a fair amount of money towards this franchise. I have not bought the last few due to the direction not being to my liking and never really rated any of them after cod 4 so I'll make my stand here. Or until such a time as they release it separately. No one else has forced their customers into parting with unnecessary cash to play their remaster. They are taking advantage if this turns out to be official.

Did people really think activision was that stupid? Even if they were there were so many people bragging how they would sell infinite warfare which obviously they saw as they do have pr people looking through forums, youtube, reddit etc. I'm still buying it because cod 4 is one of the best games of all time but i might just buy the legacy edition digitally now as i don't want to deal with the hassle of changing discs.

Got to the 16th of this month to pull the trigger anyway.

It's CoD, so pre-launch price drops below this seem very unlikely to me - £60 is already significantly lower than I'd have expected.

No beta here as stated clearly, whilst other shops clearly promote the fact you can get beta access if you order from them but they all are charging £10 more.

It's fairly typical for beta access to be a perk of pre-ordering, so I wouldn't say that this in particular is something to hold against Infinite Warfare.

A multiplayer beta will get underway in October, but it's only for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Access to that appears to be limited only to those who preorder, you guessed it, Infinite Warfare.

People would pay full price just for the COD 4 remaster its that good and if its as good as I remember that game will last literally years. Will IW suck? Most likely but i'm buying it for COD 4. The nostalgia and replay value is just too strong. Plus selling infinite warfare will actually be cheaper than what a standalone COD 4 remaster will be priced at. They stupidly actually made it cheaper for us.

I don't have paypal and cannot use it for reasons i won't go into, however you seem to require one to buy games through simplygames. Even when I select pay by card, it takes me too a page hosted by paypal where I have to to input my card details, and then can't continue unless I create an account. Is this a glitch? £30-35 for a new game is fine, but not for a remaster, but that's my view. It seems to me that they don't have faith with Infinite Warfare that's why they're bundling these two together to improve sales. They will eventually release MW stand alone. This is Activision we are talking about.

Paid £17 for uncharted 4.

Two Cods which will give hundreds of hours of gameplay for 60 quid. Yes, yes i will. Better than spending 50-55 quid on Uncharted 4 which will barely last you a weekend before you sell it.

Anyone who says this cracks me up. Will Activision sell cod 4 separately? Thats a big maybe. Nostalgia sells but the only reason they even remastered cod 4 is to sell more copies of infinite warfare. Also even if they do sell it separately they will charge full price so expect something like 50 quid stand alone and it will be around 6 or 7 months after release which they will soon announce the next cod which will come with modern warfare 2 remaster which by then the userbase might decrease for cod 4 remaster. If anything they are probably doing us a favour selling them together so making it a cheaper price and lets be honest you will probably get your moneys worth from cod 4 alone.

I would actually have preordered this as decent price but it states you don't get the one month early access to cod 4 which is a deal breaker as it will be my first time playing the campaign and i want to play that asap. As for infinite warfare even if its awful it cannot be worse than either battlefield 1 or titanflop 2. I've seen some videos of infinite warfare and it looks like the game titanflop was trying so hard to be but with infinite warfare has a much more bigger budget.

Dont care what the haters say infinite warfare looks playable at the very least. I haven't played a shooter for months so that itch is coming back and cod will satisfy my cravings. Also if cod 4 remaster is as good as i remember it the game will last me the entire gen. Two cods for about 60 quid seems worth it with one being the latest AAA game with a massive budget and the best fps of all time when there are people wasting a similar amount on trash like Uncharted which doesn't even last you a weekend.

It's a digital code. You don't need infinite warfare to play it. See point 4.

Point 7 means you have to buy iw to get cod 4 as it won't be sold separately

At release, Modern Warfare will come with 10 multiplayer maps. They have stated that the others will follow at a later date. It's been suggested early in the new year. I'm willing bet a couple of quid that a standalone version will be released at the same time. That way they will still make money from MW and not hamper the release of IW.
They did it with COD remastered on the PS3 back in the day of MW2 release I think it was.

I didn't realise they has started allowing you to sell pc games once you've already activated them on your steam account.. o wait they haven't lol you can't resell pc games so there is no difference between the 38 pound code or the 60 pound retail version once its activated on steam that's it your stuck with it forever

Yes we realise you have to have the infinite warfare legacy edition however it's whether the infinite warfare disc needs to be inserted to play MW is what we need to find out.

Sounds like it ain't going to happen... I'm sure i read somewhere [recently - as in the last few days] that Activision are steadfast in reiterating that you can only get MW:R via purchasing the Legacy Edition of IW (ignoring those that might sell their digi codes privately - assuming it is a digital code that doesn't require the IW disc/download to run)... They wouldn't be foolish enough to risk legal action, by lying outright, would they?

I guess I was lucky that a friend emailed me a flash deal from Argos in July and I have one pre-ordered for £39.99. The only problem is I pre-ordered the standard edition without COD 4 about 2 weeks before that for £35 but there's so many online games retailers I can't find from who! I think Argos must have been one per customer but maybe someone on here can prove me wrong. I can't see myself not sorting my friends out because £39.99 for the Legacy Edition was a great price considering the retail.

I'm 99% certain you will not need Infinite Warfare to play remastered for 3 reasons:
1. On the FAQ and in all interviews Activision are very carefull with their wording, no where have they said you have to own it, they have continually said the only way to get MW remastered is to buy the legacy or whatever editions. They have not said own Infinite Warefare. From their FAQ:

No, you must own Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare in order to get Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.

2. It has been confirmed to be a separate game digital download from the PSN - it's not DLC for Infinite Warfare, not part of the game, but included with the game.

With this in mind, I think it would be a video game first for Game A (MW Remastered) to require the disc of Game B (IW) to run the online mode of Game A (MW Remastered) but the single player portion does not.

Heat as its the best price you will probably get before launch. Can't see this dropping before Christmas anyway. Lucky enough to get the Argos legacy edition PS4 for 39.99 which has been confirmed it will be honoured. I always miss out on these deals and it's nice to finally work for me. As of the game, it has been getting a lot of stick since day one. But personally with the latest gameplay videos, the game looks pretty amazing and slightly different. Always going to have cheap haters and trolls, but bang for buck, legacy edition even at this price is the best FPS shooter being released the holiday season this year.

This is actually a respectable price. You're getting two full games for £60.. That's £30 a game. If Infinity Ward sold the Modern Warfare remaster for £30, it'd sell like hotcakes.
