Methinks you're tempting fate by telling us it's a smoking hot deal . . .

I left BT a couple of weeks ago due to poor data signal - i would only get gprs at work most of the time, sometimes 3g but it was awfully slow ... never used to have any problems, it seems to have been the last 3 or so months... I was considering taking out that 3 deal, but i admit i am tempted to come back and put up with the speeds lol

Something to consider also is that if you have an "all calls package" with your bt phone line then it's FREE to call bt mobiles

I rang and said look can I get the £20 it's withing 14 days. They said no so I said okay I'll cancel and reorder out of spite, despite then having to lose a long term phone number, they accidentally ended up sending both lots of amazon vouchers so ended up with £140 and because id previously raised a claim about quidco for the cancelled contact i got two lots of quidco too haha. Works out for my current ultd/ultd/20gb contract they are paying me

I was on EE before I switched over to BT after my contact expired. I'm still using the same phone but I have noticed there is a difference in the signal. Places were I got full 4G signal are now no signal. It's very strange as I know BT own and use EE signal. Can anyone shed any light?

whilst i agree they should technically be the same i have both and the bt signal is woeful compared to ee. have to leave it sitting on the window so it gets a signal. can leave the ee one anywhere and its fine. i have switched the sims between phones to see if it is the phones but the bt mobile one deffo doesnt get as strong a signal. i do live in a bad area for all phone signals but the ee one deffo wins in the same phone (multiple phones) over the bt one which is lame in my area :disappointed: luckily i got it for like £10 for the year after cashback so i dont really care as its the missus's :P

Signed up for a similar BT Mobile SIM card deal about 6 months ago, and got stiffed on the Quidco cashback. Chasing up both parties ended up at dead ends.
Some people have successfully claimed the Quidco cashback though, so you may be lucky.

I've signed up x2 one for me and one for the old boy
doubtless won't get cashback and voucher but I did get amazon voucher when I signed up old boy a couple of years ago so you never know not a bad deal really even without the bonus so nothing to lose

The majority of piggyback operators do not have access to a 4G signal on the main networks - this is so the network operators can maintain an advantage and successfully market their 4G plans.
EE is now wholly owned by BT, which is why they can offer a 4G service despite not being the headline operator.
EE do have a pretty comprehensive network, but all the networks have areas of good and poor service and you're right to find the one that works for you and stick to it. Always ask people who use their phone near to where you use your own phone about their real network coverage (don't rely on a map). Networks only make guarantees for service at your home location!!
Like other users, I have found that forcing my phone to remain in 3G mode generally gives the best reception where 4G coverage is anything other than really good. However, 4G signals sometimes reach areas that 3G ones don't. Again, discuss it with people you know using phones where you want to use yours, and don't be afraid to get technical!

I joined BT Mobile within the last year going through quidco. I didn't get quidco or the amazon voucher as they say I didn't make an order. They say it didnt track. I provided order number etc but still didnt get it.
Seems its hit and miss with quidco with BT.

Been with BT for almost a year now - really can fault the reliability of the signal - In the South West of Scotland I get much better coverage than my wife who is with O2. I have the 2Gb package for £9 and for the additional data I think this is a steal. My one complaint is that my £50 Amazon voucher never did arrive and BT never did respond to any of my subsequent enquiries - pretty much what you expect from their customer non-service...

I took this deal out two weeks ago before they offered any vouchers, I'm not worried as EE would not match this as they said, " because I was getting the £5 discount for by broadband they could not match it" ?? So after 20 years of orange then EE I switched to this plan and found that there is no difference in signal and the data seams faster, can't see me going back to EE.

I went for this the other week, so far so good and the btwifi / fon is a bonus. The only small downside I could see with BTmobile vs EE is that the 4g speed is capped at 30mbps not that it bothers me anyway, you can pay £4 extra a month if you need it.
I bought two sims one for the wife and me. Cash back has tracked through quidco but 3 x £50 so fingers crossed I might actually get a wee bonus. claimed the two £60 Amazon vouchers too, should have them well before crimbo. Cashback forecasted to be paid 1st November. Happy days...

I ordered this when I switched from Virgin Media to BT Broadband. I already had a BT line which I couldn't switch to any other provider for business reasons, so I went with the BT Broadband since it was much cheaper than Virgin internet + Virgin line.
I managed to get around £43 cashback on TCB and got a £30 Amazon voucher. Both paid out within a month or so. Seemed amazing at the time, but it's nothing compared to this - with TCB they're actually paying you to get it. add it onto a BT broadband deal at £10 a month, then take off the £60 Amazon voucher, they give £68.25 more cashback than without the mobile, so in total you're £8.25 richer a year later (that's when you have to haggle or switch to keep a good deal).
