Newer model is only £20 more... and that also gets average reviews

No highs, no lows, it must be Bose.

Average audio quality kit overpriced to make it seem better than it is. An audio company successful purely down to a great marketing department.
That said if you really must buy Bose then this is a decent price.
Bose usually do an amazing quality and sound. With this one though, they didn't teach their own high standards. The Fidelio is a better sound than this. Excellent deal @Schnecker !!

Philips sound quality is much better than Bose, £ for £. Far more natural. Yamaha soundbars are also good.

Maybe if you live in a cupboard under the stairs. Not for me, no sub woofer, no hd audio, not even dts. I am amazed that this is considered a good product at this price, let alone the original price. Crazy world.

A bargain price for premium audio, in tests Bose is only just behind Sony. Hot!

this is a great price and the sound i good bit be warned this does NOT decode dts so blurays will either not play sound or your tv will have to convert to pms. also sometimes vocals are muddy and sometimes even missing esp if source has surround sound.

It connects via optical yo the tv. So we gatecrash the tv is outputting. So no need to switch wires
You connect it to the audio out on your TV which should passthrough the sound of whatever source you're watching.
50W. It doesn't have one - I'd take a wild guess that's why it's called a Bose Solo.

Absolute crap !, don`t bother sent mine back and got a refund , went for a separate sub , as they have no decent base , totally disillusioned with it,

Iv had one of these for the past year. Brilliant sound, thumping Base and good stereo sound without all the wires everywhere. Add a audio chromecast and you don't need the new Bluetooth version.

Peter Tyson are a really good knowledgeable company. I'm not so sure if JL will offer much of an advantage to you bearing in mind the unit comes with a 3 year warranty

Cool - the new version is £174 - will ask JL to price match - happy days.
Very good price for this going by what it normally is but reviews seem a bit average (typically 3/5). Not sure if it would be usable with the newer design of TV where they have the feet either side rather than a pedestal base....
Heated for price alone.
Tried it through flubit and got an instant £15 off too so worth a go for anyone on the fence...
