Its not so much where its built that matters at all with these products. Put simply, they only have 10- 12 major bits, one being a huge chunk of concrete.
ITs really where the components were made, originally lots of stuff including the PCB were all made in Germany on much lower productions numbers. Now a lot of the motors etc. have micro components sourced from else where.
Some of the parts are still made in Germany and a number of products for the EU market are made locally in Germany, some of these machines have better reviews on longevity then some of the Chinese made machines.
Usually when the products are "all new" the features never get 10 years of "tried and tested" so you often get issues with them. As reports of problems feedback then adjustments are made, its really is this product "mid life cycle" and if so are there massive reports of failures.
I have bog standard Beko machines that are now on 11 years old and cost about £199! They are noisy they do the job and were considerably less investment then Bosch.
I put a review Co Op electrical in another post a week or so ago.

Bought Sony TV from Co Op Electrical a few months ago. Advertised with 5 year warranty but nothing about this on delivery. Totally unhelpful when I contacted them. Told me to take the matter up with Sony. It was the Co Op that had that had 5 year warranty all over their website so you would think they would have provided some helpful information on this. I found once they got your money they didnt want to know. We need a new washing machine but not from Co Op.
It shows at 250 on currys and and a lower one at £180

The Bosch, as you will not need to buy another washing machine for a very long time.

Cheers OP +1
My washing machine failed on Sunday and have bought this - arrived today and I have just plumbed it in. Also picked up 2% quidco. Previous machine was also a Bosch 1400 and I worked out it was 17 years old before it failed. Well worth the money.
