Don't bother buying the Cadbury Hot Chocolate pods, it's exactly the same stuff as you get in the big jar and with a jar you can control the amount of powder that you put in the cup.

I find the Americano Grande XL pods are the best for filling the average mug. You tend to get 16 pod packs, so for me, better value.

Do they fill a normal size mug?

Yes. I bought latte glasses from the £ shop.
I don't think you can buy compatibles for Tassimo machines. If you can, I would like to know where from as well. The last lot I got were 3 boxes for £10 (various flavours) from Asda but I don't know whether the offer is still available.

You get Tassimo pods which fill various size mugs (depending on the smart barcode info printed on the pod). Obv espresso pods will only give a small amount of coffee but the barcode tells the machine to steam the pod for longer, less water etc...
The supermarkets do deals and I tend to stock up then. I tend to drink the Carte Noire Petit Dejeuner, the Kenco Columbian coffee or the Carte Noire Espresso.
With all of those you'll get 16x pods for ~£3.50 when on offer (22p/coffee)
I think the milky coffees are a bit of a rip-off as you'll get 16x "pods" but 8x will be artificial tasting powdered milk pods, so only actually 8 coffees. I bought one of these Milk Frothers and it makes pretty amazing forthy coffees with the espresso pods!
