Several spirits"reduced to clear" at Tesco Express on Mossley Rd in Ashton, picked up a litre of Bombay Sapphire and at least 5 more available. Probably not national as website has standard 70cl bottle at £18 but may be worth checking your local Tesco Express.

Solvent strippers such as Dichloromethane will bite into most gloss paints, maybe even Isopropyl over time (or with heat) will start attacking pain. Usual chems are cellulose (nitrate), or phenols and cresols. Benzyl alcohol is good too....pretty toxic though.
Booze (ethanol) as a spirit is virtually useless agains modern day paints.
This version of ethanol in the form of Bombay Sapphire with a hint of Junipers, is a particualy good drop of gin, and cut above the cheap stuff. Certainly a good everyday gin in lieu of the artisan gins.....such as Rhok as you stated.
Must be amazing living in a world where you only drink the finest and then use 15 quid bottles to clean down window frames....chin chin!
