Yes it was. Well worth playing. After I finished Bayonetta 2 I went back and played the first one again and I think the second one is a even better! Plus all the little nintendo easter eggs are great - dressing her up as fox, link or peach with the demon attacks being linked to the costumes.

You would be correct. While Bayonetta is still a shiny example of the genre, Bayonetta 2 ran with it. Also, if you are lucky enough to own a WiiU, you get both Bayo 1 & 2.
