I don't usually do multiplayer but love BF so I gave the beta a go. After about 20 seconds I remembered why I normally just stick to campaigns - I had no idea what the **** was going on! I was chucked into the middle of some war zone, running around with a load of other dudes with either blue or red icons, being told to protect some zone or other & generally being shot at by God knows who...! Deleted the beta about 5 mins later

I had mine sent to store and I've received emails saying I can collect it from midnight. But I've also received an email from Smyths containing a download code for BF1, which worked. I'm confused.

Edit: Never mind. Found someone had asked the question on their Facebook page. The DLC code seems to be the Hell Fighter pack.

Good deal and as someone mentioned use quidco for another £1+ off. I've used Smyth's preorder before, I've always had my games arrive a day early.

The £5 off code seems to valid right up until 2 days before release, so I'm hanging tight for now and will wait to see what offers come up closer to the time first.

I've only just recently bought BF4 and I am really enjoying it. I've watched some videos of BF1 and I am not yet convinced. There are also plenty of comments about tanks being OP.

If you're running everywhere then you're not using your squad properly & re tanks they are quite op but a couple of you with tank grenades can sort them out :wink:

The beta was 900p on the ps4 and 720p on Xbox one, I played it on both consoles and can't say I noticed any difference.

Thanks for this, heat added and I've just pre-ordered for PS4. I haven't enjoyed a multiplayer fps as much as this since Battlefield bad company 2 on the xbox360. Sure, the beta has a few minor bugs but no where near as much as the BF3 or BF4 betas, they were an absolute mess. This game has major potential and I can't wait to check out the other maps when it's released

Its not a demo, its not a free level, its not a test trial. Its a beta and we're just guniea pigs to highlight any bugs/flaws & issues such as balanacing, nerfs, blah blah. Of course it will be buggy, Its built on frostbite which is renowned to be buggy AF. For me, Im loving it so far. Lv 45 in 12 hours play time. 1 man light tank = 40 - 0 :P I'll be pre ordering with Amazon. Theyve never let me down.

I admit there seems to be far too tanks but i have loved playing the beta. Seem to do best in the tanks with 32 kills and no deaths seems a bit overpowered but very satisfying when you see a bunch of snipers on the roof and you blow them all up with one shot, running through people with the horse made me chuckle too.

Totally agree, defending against a tank is hopeless! Hardly any weapons available to cause them damage. Hopefully DICE will balance it out for final release.

Are you thick? Do you need yoir hand held? Ive played ever bf game since codename eagle on the pc, theyre all the same and pretty simple, kill the other team and capture the base/ destroy the objective. After being underwhelmed ive got to say im enjoying this beta more than i enjoyed bf4. Looking forward to the full release.

Too many Battlefront feels for me so far. Massive open spaces make the beta map a campers paradise. Which might be great for whoever gives one about kill streaks/ratio, but totally not helping to create the mass infantry bloodbath I'd been hoping for. In fairness other maps may provide that and the teamwork I would enjoy!

I'll play some more, but so far I'll be waiting a while to buy what was originally my most anticipated game this year.

the bet... i mean demo's realy buggy and it doesn't feel like a battlefield game, it's more like battlefront :smirk:
It's going to be a while before i get this, £20 max, i was disapointed with the alpha, i was hoping the beta would be better but it's worse :disappointed:

Not really sure what you expected from 64 vs 64 conquest mode map on a battlefield game. I haven't bought a battlefield game since BF3 but the lure of an older shooter got me to download the beta. There are some bugs and general graphical issues that need fixing but on the whole I've been thoroughly enjoying it. I do think some of the tanks are kinda OP but I'm sure tweaks will be made to weapons and vehicles based on feedback.

I am pretty tempted to pick this up when it releases.

The beta is a bit iffy at times, but that's the point of running it. It's a great game. The visuals need improvement on Xbox as the PS4 version looks a lot better, but curiously the playability feels better on Xbox...smoother, easier to aim. Rush needs some work as there are too many tanks available to the attackers. This deal is very tempting. Hot!

Sorry mate my experience has been terrible with them. After I questioned the 4 day after launch day delivery on my PRE-order they told me it was basically my fault for not paying extra for fast delivery. Then to send it back you had to ring them up! Peoples experiences may differ but I'm just trying to give people a warning on preorders.

Just checked the company reviews on trustpilot. They seem to of bummed up pre-orders in the past where deliveries turn up a few days after the release date. So if your not in a super rush it's not a bad deal.
