Not sure about the toy thing but don't order if you are in a rush for getting it...been on backorder now for months so the 1-2 month delivery time stated by Amazon is a complete fantasy...been nearly 4 months since I ordered and still no spade or fork and estimated delivery date keeps getting moved.

I ordered prior to the deal being posted originally & am still waiting...just as well I don't do gardens otherwise mine would be in a pretty sorry state by now with the length of time I've been waiting for delivery...date keeps changing on Amazon...last time I looked it was showing as estimated delivery between 5th and 28th September by 8pm I think...not too worried if they cancel though as only bought them to give as presents to people :innocent:

Same as others, still waiting a month or so after ordering for despatch / more info.
My guess is that Amazon have an agreement with the manufacturer at the end of the season when they want rid of excess stock to buy a job lot from them at discount prices. Manufacturer probably has set a minimum order quantity so Amazon gathering orders now for then. If they don't get enough, they might cancel all orders unless the manufacturer deems it still viable.
I'm sure the tools are full size too and the details are just messed up. Happens regularly on Amazon.

Not quite sure if my present ideas result from originality or are more the result of desperation or insanity to be honest...mind you at least I can usually guarantee that no-one is going to be given a duplicate gift by other people if I'm involved in choosing it on any level...lol...it also has to be said that sometimes you realise a bit too late what seemed like a really good idea at the time was perhaps not such a good idea e.g. when you see the look on a teenager's face when they open their brand new spade and fork and wonder a) what it is, b) does it work wirelessly and c) how do you charge it :stuck_out_tongue:
On a serious note we have quite a few gardeners in the family so the spade and fork along with the bargain priced Spear and Jackson garden equipment means that's several Birthday/Christmas presents sorted out :wink:

as expected i got a cancellation email today saying amazon have been let down by their supplier and are therefore unable to fulfil the order for the spade, i called them to say the cheapest replacement was just under £20, to which i was asked to order and they would refund the difference upon delivery, for the loss of bargain - that's why i shop at amazon! :sunglasses:
now waiting for them to cancel the order for the two forks i ordered :wink:
