Just to be clear minimum wage for a person aged 18-20 is £5.30 an hour.... Where 21 and over is £6.70 and 25 and over is £7.20 So if you want to talk about age discrimination I think it's about time you take a long hard look in mirror. All that "Money" you say students have to get drunk is a loan... they will be paying it off for the rest of their life... some stupid people on here.

Report the issue as a violation of equalities and and discrimination law.
Statistically most students are 18-21, so this is targeted towards young adults (who clearly do not need discounts as they can afford to get drunk so often and spend £3 on a a coffee, when a jar costs £2 .

It is time age discrimination was put to an end!

Any thoughts on warranty on items bought on the amazon warehouse? Not entirely clear on the website.

From the site:

University of Southampton. It is not part of NUS. Whilst the NUS is a student union, every university has to pay NUS £50,000 a year in subscription costs. It was decided that the £50,000 could be spent instead on students instead of signing up to NUS. Therefore Southampton University students cannot enroll on NUS as the uni didn't pay the fees.

Because I registered a new account with my student email, Amazon security held up my order to confirm my identity. After confirming everything they wanted in the email and over the phone just to be sure. I missed a call from the security team at 5pm and in turn they deleted my student account and cancelling my order.

Spent an hour on the phone with some guy who sounded high as a kite, before he started calling my by a different name and hung up on me. Spoke to another guy and he's trying to sort it out for me. But by the looks of it, they robbed me of this deal and I am absolutely livid to be missing a 980ti at this price.

Every item I have bought from Amazon Warehouse has been brand new, the only thing wrong is a slightly tatty box occasionally. If you hold out for a few days the price of your items will keep dropping. I've been doing this for the last few months and got some great bargains. I Currently have 8 items saved for later hoping they will go down a bit more in price.

Unfortunately you often find someone nabs the item, I've been waiting for a Sweet ski helmet to drop to £50 (they sell for ~£150), it decreases £4-£5 every day so was hoping to purchase tomorrow- this afternoon someone has bought the thing.

Been looking the last few days but all the 20% off does is make things a reasonable price for used goods with no warranty. I haven't seen anything that great, including what people have posted here. Like £260 980Ti's? Why is that such a bargain when brand new ones with full warranty could be bought recently for £300?

18 Sep 16 2 #273
Who said there is definitely no warranty?

Amazon might state there is a 30 day return policy but that doesn't affect the 12 month retailer's warranty included with all Amazon purchased. As long as the "fault" wasn't already stated in the used description as to why the item was discounted then you could claim with Amazon who would normally just refund you.

If the item is just reboxed and relatively new you could also normally register and claim the extended manufacturer's warranty too. When you need an invoice then you're able to choose to print an invoice out from Amazon which does not state the item is used.
aleem
19 Sep 16 #274
Here is what I'm seeing; Items available brand new at £70 are discounted in the warehouse to £65. Usually I'd just buy the new one with this kind of pricing, but with 20% off the £65; that makes it a 'decent' deal.

If these warehouse items were priced properly, i.e. £70 item in the warehouse for £55/60, plus 20% off with the student deal, then this would be a stonking offer.

It seems to me that all the items that attract the student offer are priced just below the new cost.

There's a Tamron 150-600 that's gone up from like £500 to £650ish in last three days. Could of been had for like £400 with discount, but now It's not necessarily worth it given the description of damage. I got a Gigabyte 980Ti for £260 which was one of the cheapest 980ti they had listed. 1070 for £250 is crazy; care to post a screen shot? Regardless it seems Amazon has now raised the price on most of the cards by 5% or so since this deal first launched as I've been watching them pretty closely.

The monitor I got had a tiny scratch on the screen, and the button at the back was a bit dodgy - one of buttons doesn't work but you can work around it with a bit of menu scrolling. I complained that it was Used Acceptable rather than very good and they knocked more money off it.

The 20% discount is automatically deducted on the final page of checkout before you click the final "Buy Now" button.

This is assuming you fulfill the criteria of having already joined as an Amazon Student, the product is sold by Amazon Warehouse and being in one of the following categories: Electronics (incl. Computers, Camera, Video Games, Phones, Software, and ), Books, Office Products, Sporting Goods, Luggage, and Personal Care.

If the product is not within one of those categories then you could chance it by buying it and starting an online chat with Amazon and ask for the discount to be applied manually. If you're lucky the Amazon representative would not know about the categories and give you the discount anyway.

Amazon really confused me with this. Amazon Warehouse have done similar offers before where certain listings have said 20% off, deducted at Checkout. I didn't realise it was Students only!

I complained the other day (non-Student member, though I have Prime), Live Chat gave me 20% off! It's only now I'm moaning about another 20% purchase, I realise it's Students only.

The promo is only advertised on the main Amazon Warehouse page (halfway down, didn't see it till it was pointed out to me), nowhere else. Items simply say "20% off".

Actually found a decent deal in the end. A pristine condition AOC Q2770PQU (27 inch IPS(PLS) WQHD screen) which i ended up getting for £145. Said it came in original packaging but was in an ASUS 28 inch 4k box (!? - thought they sent the wrong thing at first) so told Amazon this and they gave me an extra 20% off making it only £145.

The monitor is like new with all the stand, screws, cables, driver cd etc. Not a mark on it, no dead pixels and only a small amount of backlight bleed in one corner which i can live with for the price.

Pretty chuffed. Amazon receipts don't say they are used or from Amazon warehouse so fingers crossed if i have any problems in future AOC might honour their normal 3 year warranty - won't count on this though!

I wonder how many of you are getting these discounts for ridiculous reasons like a damaged box (bearing in mind most warehouse items are listed as coming in original damaged packaging). I suspect a lot of you based on the comments above.

Anyway, not going to make a moral judgement. Would just advise you claim your discounts sparingly. Amazon aren't stupid, they keep tabs on all customer return/full and partial refunds. Do a quick Google search and you'll see that people have had their accounts terminated for excessive returns/refunds. Might be all dandy now, but you're jeapordasing your account in the long term by getting these huge discounts (whether the reasons are justified or not).
esskay92

Didn't intend it for it to be a sermon. If people want to commit fraud, that's their prerogative. I'm also happy to see repeat fraudsters banned from Amazon. My post was just friendly advice to newcomers to this thread who might consider making it a habit. It's definitely tempting to go on chat and get a quick 20-30% discount!

Those already entrenched in the fine art of fake complaints have probably already done enough damage to their accounts. To them I'd say choose your next refund carefully, it may be your last.
luvclub

You might want to change your link. It links to Seller accounts being banned for their buyers making too many returns ie the sellers were selling too many defects ie Amazon were siding with the buyers.

Jokes aside as long as you're honest and have proof I don't see the harm. I myself have never claimed for box damage but have made sure that I sent them photographic proof by email as well if the Warehouse goods were incorrectly described. Never made a claim for purchases from non-Warehouse stock though.

When they started these Warehouse Deals way back and I had purchased over 40 items I had to send back around 10 and got a discount for another 10. They did write to me as they said there seemed to be a problem delivering to my address and can't guarantee any future purchases. I told the guy off for not taking time reading through all the transcripts and asked him to guarantee that my account is not blacklisted and also got £20 goodwill credit for the poor service and inconvenience.

Another 40 purchases and similar number of returns and partial refunds now. No problems yet.

When it comes to refunds, you can be refunded as much as you like, if you have a reason and they decide it's worthy then it's worthy. That can happen as much as you like. If they call you out on something, then you send the item back to prove your claims. It's as simple as that.

Fraud - /frɔːd/ noun - a person or thing intended to deceive others, typically by unjustifiably claiming or being credited with accomplishments or qualities.

Hehe ofc, I'm sure fabricating/exaggerating defections to receive partial refunds is perfectly in the spirit of Amazon's T&Cs

I think you'll come to a different understanding of who's naive here after reading the above links

By 'worthy' do you mean false, fabricated, deceptive, exaggerated, routine, i.e. like some of the comments above indicate? And no, you really won't be "refunded as much as you like" even if the claims are justified. But keep it up. Maybe you'll be join the hundreds of results for 'Amazon account closed' soon.

I'm talking about real issues. You can bring up real issues to Amazon, if they decide it's valid then it's valid. I've been refunded over 100 times in the last couple of years, no issues. The way Amazon CS treat me is like someone who spends alot, as they can see via my account I use them for a lot.

Like I said, if it's a valid reason, they won't just ban you. If you're being totally outrageous then who knows, looks like some may get issues, most probably wouldn't.

This isn't about fraud in my mind. If something looks scruffy then I'll complain. I don't ask for refunds, I get suggested them by CS.

So much passion.
Tid7
2 Oct 16 #387
They brought this on them(partial refunds) ,but again they can ban you...
70-80% of amazon warehouse items have some issue(well that's why they been returned),plus they don't check them on return(I don't know why but they don't do it) .
I have bought a lot of different item from there and 20-30% of them don't work at all, simple 5 second check would tell you its not working ,these item should never been sent out again to customers.
luvclub
2 Oct 16 1 #388
Yeah if we're going to exaggerate and call it "fraud" then it works both ways. Why do they send me a "Kitchen scales, stainless steel bowl and cookie cutter gift set (repackaged)" without the bowl or cookie cutter? Is it even right to call it a gift set when it is just the scales? If they're allowed to do that then I could also be cheeky and ask for a partial refund when they send me the "Xbox One and Kinect Bundle" when I only ordered the plain "Xbox One console" by itself. I am an avid collector of the different bundle variations and different box arts so it was false advertising on their side and I deserved a partial refund for the inconvenience :stuck_out_tongue:

That quoted definition of fraud could easily be applied to Amazon when they state:
"How do you evaluate a product's condition?
We thoroughly test the functional and physical condition of each item and give the product a specific grade before selling it."

I'm sure most people here would agree that they don't check the majority of returns and just keep on sending it out until someone keeps it or until there are just too many returns of that specific item. Their description of the item's condition also rarely fits.

So this is Amazon intentionally deceiving customers by claiming that the items have passed rigorous checks and quality control ie what esskay92 has been calling fraud.

My 1.92GB SSD was advertised as being in its original packaging but I noticed the Serial Number on the box did not match that on the drive. Sent them photographic proof and an email explaining I am disappointed in Amazon's supposedly rigorous evaluation procedures and the possibility of a swapped out faulty drive. Suggested a 30% partial refund and now have a Samsung 1.92GB SSD for £201.

Congrats for nabbing a top bargain.

Having said that, I hope you, and everyone else here who have openly exploited these loopholes and freely taken advantages of obvious misprice, are not going to incessantly complain about how unethical Amazon and others are of doing the same by taking advantages of loopholes to avoid paying tax to your government.

You don't even have to register a course with Shaw or get a student ID.
On the NUS application put The Shaw Academy down as establishment, and use a email address as the student number.

I bought 4 so far.

Acer 4k looked brand new but had a problem where it would not come out of standby without switching off at mains. Returned. Net ~£220

LG ultrawide 1080p. Very scratched bezels. Using it as office work monitor instead ~£200

LG ultrawide 1440p. Again scratched more than description. Received 20% discount and passed to relative. ~£247

Dell ultrawide curved 1440p. Described as with no scratches and only box damage. So far looks perfect but have not plugged it in yet but most likely I will be keeping this one. ~£268

Well I got the Dell U3415W which is supposed to be an LG screen panel, but I still haven't even plugged it in yet. Been too busy. The 34UC88 is supposed to be the next generation LG panel.

LG panels had more back light bleed problems in the previous generation and are supposed to have fixed most of these problems in the 34UC88 generation. However it still depends on whether if you're particularly lucky or unlucky in getting a panel with good or bad back light bleed problems.

The LG panel also has FreeSync up to 75Hz if you have an AMD graphics card though that is no good if you have a more popular Nvidia card though. The Dell even though it is 60Hz could sometimes be overclocked to 80Hz so maybe better if you have an Nvidia as long as you get a good panel without too much bleed.

The LG is more expensive but since I got my Dell as new for £268 and have an Nvidia myself I wouldn't pay more than £300 for the newer LG myself.

9 Oct 16 #423
Wow! That's a great price. I'll definitely keep it.

Actually on second thoughts, it would mainly depend on whether if you're in to gaming and your graphics card.

With the Dell that I have it should be possible to overclock it to 80Hz.

The LG is able to support up to 75Hz but is only stable if you have an AMD card using FreeSync. If you have an Nvidia card then the monitor might start skipping frames above 60Hz.

If you have a powerful Nvidia card then you might be able to vsync the game to 80Hz on a Dell without having to worry about frame tearing anyway.

Extra: Just plugged in my Dell and I've been very lucky and there is no back light bleed. The IPS glow is also minimal due to the curved nature of my screen. Overclocked the refresh rate to 80Hz and that is stable too.

LOL! You seriously didn't post that TV here without first going through checkout?

Luckily I don't think it was that great a deal nowadays. You should really go for a 55 incher nowadays unless you definitely can't fit anything bigger. 55 inch TVs have appeared between £100 and £300.

Also correct me if I'm wrong but I believe earlier LG Ultra HD TVs are faux-4k and they used a loop-hole in the definition of 4k to get around describing it as 4k as instead of RGB pixels they used RGBW pixels.

You have enough 4k TVs anyway.

I have my computer running 24/7 in my bedroom and volume on full blast so the jingle wakes me up! Since it is a Lenovo 20inch touch screen that I got from a previous deal I could just touch the screen and checkout far easier than using the mouse especially when under pressure!

This one would definitely be more scratched up than the previous one so I'm going to see whether if it is worthy to replace my bedroom 1080p tv.

After that I'll be moving on to dream of larger TV sizes and oled for myself. Of course if there are more 55 inchers I'm not going to say no - the usual I've got plenty of sisters and nephews/nieces! (that'll drive the forklifters mad!)

Been at this since day one so I'm glad I finally have my 2 sets. It shows that if you persevere then you do get rewarded even without scripts. To those who complain I ask do you really expect these bargains to just drop into your basket and checkout automatically without the hard work?

There is only one and it could take anything from 10 minutes to 1 day to be relisted on the website.

If you want it then you need to find a way to be notified of it being relisted within 5 seconds of it happening and immediately clicking the one-click purchase button. If you're unable to do that then that usually means someone else wants it more than you and they will probably get it first.

The various methods of being alerted to price changes has already been discussed in the various Amazon Warehouse sales deals.

My "Microsoft Surface Pro 4 12.3 inch Tablet with Pen (Intel Core i5-6300U 2.2 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 128 GB SSD, Integrated Graphics, Windows 10 Pro) - Silver" was delivered today. Ordered yesterday.

Advertised as "Condition: Used - Very Good - Item will come repackaged. All purchases eligible for Amazon customer service and a 30-day return policy. "

Looks brand new, but repacked in to a plain white box. £342.87 after student discount.

======================

£100.38 "Sony KD-55X8005C 55 inch 4K UHD Widescreen Smart TV with Freeview - Black" was delivered on Wednesday.

Original description: "Condition: Used - Acceptable - Item is in original packaging, but packaging may come damaged. Large scratches (1/2 " to 1") on screen,. Large scratches on front of item (greater than 3.5cm x 3.5cm). Large scratches on top or sides of item (greater than than 3.5cm. x 3.5cm). Small scratches on back of item (less than 1 cm. x 1 cm.). Small scratches on TV stand (less than 1 cm. x 1 cm.). Missing screws for TV stand. Missing Battery for Remote Control unit. Missing owner / user manual. Accessories may have cosmetic damage. All purchases eligible for Amazon customer service and a 30-day return policy. "

As stated in the description there was a rather long scratch on the surface of the plastic screen itself which is visible when the picture is showing a plain picture. Noticed while cleaning it that the scratch was not visible when it was wet as the water went in to the superficial gaps and prevented the cracked surface from refracting the light emitted from the pixels beneath it. Unfortunately it would reappear after the water evaporates. Researching online I found a tip where if you rubbed vaseline into the scratch it would be the same effect and vaseline does not evaporate! Worked like a dream and the scratched disappeared from normal viewing angles.

Unfortunately the TV was missing its stand even though it was supposed to be scratched per the description. After chatting to Amazon I was given £33 partial discount to purchase a new one.

===========================================

"Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge 32GB UK SIM-Free Smartphone - Gold" also received on Wednesday.
"Condition: Used - Good - Item is in original packaging, but packaging will come damaged. Scratches (.6 cm to 1 cm) on screen. Scratches on front of item (less than 3.5 cm. x 3.5 cm.). Missing manual. All purchases eligible for Amazon customer service and a 30-day return policy. "

Was £364.18 after student discount. Unfortunately the home button was quite scratched and I considered it an important omission from the description as it could affect the operation of the finger print sensor. Requested a 40% discount by email with photographs (order ref written on post-it included in photo). Was surprised they agreed and final price was £218.51

May I ask how you're keeping tabs on what items pop up? I've just been moving between sections from the warehouse homepage e.g. computing - components - graphics cards and just browsing through. Are you doing that, or using a special search, or watching the 'just arrived' section like a hawk? Have you found that the best deals crop up at a certain time of day?

Any advice appreciated because I'd love a GS7, a 1070 and maybe a 4K TV (ideally OLED, depending on price!).

14 Oct 16 1 #461
I'm only tracking 6 or 7 items at any one time. You need to be patient and try not to track everything or be too greedy.

I have found it impossible to track everything that you want so you need to be selective. Amazon would send you to a Captcha page if they believe you're refreshing too often from your IP so that also prevents you from refreshing too much.

If you use Check4Change like me then you need to be close to your PC at all times.
You have to get used to false alarms though as C4C only detects changes so you'll get a beep for everything. Luckily I have an office job with a PC in front of me 9 to 5 so I could check what the change is just by glancing up at my screen. I'm also a night-owl so don't usually go to sleep until 6am. The PC at home is also set up to beep at any given time.

Price changes would happen at any time of the day. I have not seen any pattern obvious patterns, but maybe 12-3pm, 8-11pm, 4-5am.

You have to work for it and persevere. e.g I have been tracking the Sony 4k TV and iPad 24/7 for over 3 months now.

That was what I thought. Since the 1080 have only been released recently they can't really be in that bad a condition.

I believe this is just a made up condition by the person grading and most likely they just looked at the general condition of the box and made up the rest based on that. Note the "screen" or "case"? Crazy. May even be like new like a good portion of the other items that I've received from Amazon Warehouse.

"Condition: Used - Good - The item may come repackaged. Front of the housing has minor cosmetic imperfection. Minor cosmetic imperfection on the top or sides of the item. Minor cosmetic imperfection on the bottom or back of the item. Screen has minor cosmetic imperfections. Missing owner / user manual. Missing case. All purchases eligible for Amazon customer service and a 30-day return policy. "

I got a beautiful Lagostina pressure cooker last week for £38ish, normally retails circa 150. It came and, although I think it was new, the lid was broken. It was a bit odd as everything was new and sealed. Anyway, I had a chat with them and without even asking, they just said to bin it and they'd refund in full. At the very worst, I've got a beautiful stainless stell pan to use for soups. I'll contact the manufacturer and see if they replace the lid so it could well end up being a free replacement.

I have actually better success with an email to them. One it's easier as don't have to argue back and fore. And second you send the email and wait a few hours and normally get the discount you ask for. I normally include pictures in mine too. But its only around 20% of items ordered. For a £5 item if there are more marks or still usable then don't bother emailing them as its only a £1 or £2 discount. When then you have the high value items you get a much better return if not as described and your account is not flagged as high returns/refunds etc. (I never know if this is true, but you never know)

That is lucky. That page you've linked states purchases would need to be made during 18/10/16 to 31/10/16. Could you check to see what your "order date" and "invoice date" were, so that we could see whether if the qualifying dates are "flexible".

My 1080 was ordered 14/10/16 and it is supposed to be delivered between 1-9/11/16, so I probably won't qualify. :disappointed:

It is limited in that it is only valid on a few specific categories sold by Warehouse Deals and that it ends on 11/11/16.

19 Oct 16 #514
Tablet is for the coffee table and casual use- I didn't get a keyboard with it. Laptop is for the office.

I've listed the exact items I've purchased here as people have been private messaging me asking me which exact listings I've purchased. As I'm only purchasing one of each I don't really mind as I won't be fighting over any subsequent deals for the exact item anymore. However I also think auto-buy scripters would also be adding them to their lists so it defeats the purpose some what as the same item would probably be impossible to get again in the future even if they reappear.

So have you been watching this model for months, or a few laptops until you get one you are happy with?
luvclub to Mr Hunter
19 Oct 16 1 #516
I've had a search setup for all i7 laptops and have been waiting for one decently discounted to be under £300. I had also assumed such high spec laptops would also be Full HD so there is no need to specify that. When searching it is best to be "minimalistic". Only up until very recently I had thought it was best to be very precise in my search criteria. It was only after I had missed one mega deal after another (the big screen TV's and GTX 1080) that I finally figured out that my exact searches (including the Amazon filters on the left) were somehow filtering out some of the stuff that I had wanted. For example if you tick 4k filter on the left under the TV category it actually filters out some of them and it is sod's law that the good deals always come up with the wrong filters.

The best way to do it is to try searching for an item that you want but don't choose the "Amazon Warehouse Deals" drop down yet. If the item appears then you could use the same settings to search for it under the "Amazon Warehouse Deals" drop down. Of course the item most likely isn't in stock as a Warehouse Deal yet, but once it is then it would appear as a search result.

It just takes practice and would come to those who put in the effort. Also make use of the "minus symbol" to exclude anything which is always coming up but you don't want. Test the search to see whether if the new search only excludes that one specific item.

Received my Toshiba ultra-thin laptop today (5th gen i7 + 256GB SSD + 8GB ram + Full HD + Harman/Kardon speakers). Brand new with all protective stickers/wrapping still in place. Unfortunately the keyboard is in German and includes German text. Not really a major problem considering it was only £228 and I'm still making up my mind whether if I should have a good old moan.

http://i.imgur.com/pcv4G1P.jpg

Also got my "MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10-Series 8 GB GDDR5X 10010 MHz Graphics Card - Black". For some reason it was sent without an outer Amazon box. The courier label was just stuck on the product box itself. Box was a bit battered and the box flap wasn't even sealed with tape so was flapping loose. Luckily the card itself was undamaged and still sealed as new in its anti-static bag. Emailed photos and explained my disappointment so the £311.43 price was further reduced by £93.43 to £218.00. Cheapest GTX1080 ever!

What discount should i go for do you think?
luvclub
21 Oct 16 #538
10%

Only joking. Actually in this case it does seem reasonable to only ask for 10% (~£5) compensation to replace the charger, but it is always part of the haggling process so start with 30%.

I'm deeply disappointed I've been let down yet again by Amazon's quality control....blah blah.......30% partial refund....etc...

I would rather make a fuss over 1 big item and get a big discount rather than fuss over several smaller items and get a total discount equivalent to the one big item. It is probably a good idea to think about whether if it is worth it to proceed in this case.

Unlikely as I know Amazon have been taking emails from none student but prime account holders about the unfairness of the 20% discount and along the lines they will not be buying items until the 20% offer ends. Would be interesting to see the warehouse sale figures for none student accounts this this offer went live

Does this end at midnight or tomorrow midnight?
luvclub
10 Nov 16 #601
The promotion is from 12 September 2016 to 11 November 2016. That is 2 whole months, so logically it would end tomorrow at 23.59 (just before it turns 12/11/16).

The "nightmare" is finally coming to an end (but there is no harm in trying to extend it)! :smirk:

11 Nov 16 1 #603
Yes, looks to be brand new again. The discount seems to be due to a 1cm scuff which wasn't on the underside (as described) but on the top edge/corner of the laptop lid.

Probably keep this one myself as it has a gfx card and is 6th gen i7 rather than the better build quality Toshiba which was 5th gen i7, had no separate gfx card as well as dodgy German keyboard.

You really have had some great bargains, I was happy with £2 off an advent calendar. That's the only thing I've managed to find over this offer :-P Now it's almost over share your secret with us pretty please :-D
luvclub
11 Nov 16 1 #605
There is really no secret. You preferably need to be in front of a PC most of the day, so it is great if you have a PC at work. You would then need to configure your search criteria perfectly. Then you just need to be patient and have reflexes like a cat in order to click that button as soon as you get that alert, but be warned 90% of the time it would be a false alarm.

Would amazon still give you 20 percent off of you asked them?
luvclub
12 Nov 16 2 #611
Just make sure you don't cancel any "Delivery Estimate" orders yourself and hopefully when Amazon cancels it themselves they would send you a 20% code for future use.
luvclub
12 Nov 16 2 #612
Thanks for the support. I'm glad those posts have disappeared now as it was a distraction and the two of us did get carried away.

I've not received one of these codes myself but I believe I read at the beginning of this thread someone did get one when their order got cancelled from a previous promotion. They bought quite a few items in the same order so managed to get a double discount when you factor in the what was then 20% student discount.

You should only get the code if they cancel your order after the end of this promotion as if they cancelled within the promotion period you would still have time to be able to purchase something else.

12 Nov 16 #613
Amazon has been really cruel towards me. They changed plenty of incredible Warehouse items in which it clearly said 'dispatching tomorrow' followed up my 'preparing to dispatch' and then moments later, the delivery estimate became pending (then cancelled after a week or two).

So I am absolutely certain that in those scenarios, I was the 'first' to get the order since plenty of other cancelled orders of mine would just start with 'pending' message right away.

As for the 20 percent code, I'd say don't hold your breath, however, I had two incredible Warehouse headphones which both showed 15-20 of November from the get go, and with no change of delivery estimate, they cancelled both right before the promotion had ended. They also cancelled every single other 'pending' orders of mine on that very same day.

I genuinely think I might be the only person to have been treated this way by Amazon.

I've had a few Delivery Estimates towards the end of the promotion that were cancelled. Luckily I still have one DE remaining so hopefully I do get a discount code.

Pristine packaging "PS4 Pro" for £319.19 available for immediate dispatch.

Too bad there is no more 20% discount. Had been tracking it since 10/11/16 hoping it would be added as a Warehouse Deal before the end of the promotion, but oh well, bought one anyway to use the PSVR to its fullest potential.

12 Nov 16 #619
Just a simple C4C on the Amazon page

Sometimes, when there is no "Used" item for sale it is not possible to see the link for this page. In those cases you could "create" the link for such a page by a bit of editing.

E.g This link
zackariah
12 Nov 16 #620
Ok so you added params to the url and that displayed a lil bit of the inventory? I'm not sure what C4C means though
luvclub
12 Nov 16 #621
That's Check4Change. It is a Firefox add-on which alerts you to changes in specific parts of a web page by auto refreshing tabs. If you donate (like I did) it will also email you the alerts.

Never got any PS Moves. Were there any good prices back then?
zackariah
12 Nov 16 #622
Brilliant, thanks, like I said I wish I had read this thread earlier. Once I saw the chance to get a PSVR for cheaper I was sidetracked at work for like 2 weeks . I'm gonna add C4C to my firefox hopefully it will come in handy in the future.
zackariah
12 Nov 16 1 #623
I got one two pack it was pure luck, the price was 65 (not much of a saving) but went down to 52 which is cheaper than I could find on ebay.

I thought about going for TVs but I already have a pretty new TV so I couldnt really justify it.....PSVR was a different matter, I got one and then another. I though the student deal ended on sunday I was gonna get a new controller (dont really need it but....)

13 Nov 16 #624
do you think they will do this offer again, when was the last time they did this kind of offer
luvclub
13 Nov 16 #625
I don't think this would be a regular thing. I think it was done this time for students as they were withdrawing the 5% student NUS discount on 31/10/16 so wanted to lessen the outcry.

I think the last time they did a 20% off Warehouse Deals was around 4 months ago but that was for everyone with Prime. It was only for a day or maybe a few days and definitely not 2 months like this one.

Managed to get £50 off my PS4 Pro due to the new £50 off £200 spend promotion. Took me a while to charm them into doing it as initially they wouldn't budge as I bought my ps4 on 12/11/16 and the new promotion started today.

Received it today so £269 for a new PS4 Pro isn't bad!

luvclub
14 Nov 16 1 #629
Yes, it took me 2 emails, 1 chat and 1 call to get it through their heads it was crazy for them to expect me to return the item so that they could resell it to me for £50 less costing them 2 additional collection/delivery charges. The item was advertised as "pristine" but the box was slightly damaged.

I told them it was obvious they were trying to mislead their customers as if the item was indeed pristine then they would have sold it new (especially an item only released 2 days before), so they must have seen the damage and decided to sell it as used. Some guy then had the great idea to falsely describe it as pristine.
