Don't ride near HGVs, I know a guy who was sucked off his saddle and under the wheels from an HGVs back draft. He now has no legs. Don't kid yourself that a £4 armband would have made a difference, just please don't ride a pedal bike anywhere that HGVs are likely to pass you at speed. please.

I nearly got flattened by a HGV last week on broad daylight because "he never seen me". These are an absolute must on your upper arms left and right while cycling at night. Under a fiver to save your life, a no brainier to me.
