If it didn't come with gas what would you be using the cylinder for?

is there any sort of indicator/method to see whats left in these? only experience I have of propane bottles is the ones from homebase which you can see the liquid gas level of, they are about this price for 10kg for a REFILL.

Pour boiling water over the cylinder so it runs down all over then run your hand down the sides. Then run your hand over it. It'll be cooler above the level of gas inside.

I currently have a 13kg Calor Patio gas canister for the BBQ that has ran out. I assume the Flowgas 19Kg canister will be a suitable replacement and work exactly the same, same gas, same connector?

Patio gas is a con. its in an odd shaped container and a different valve fitting on it.,
I always thought it was butane in a patio gas bottle tho.

No, but you can change the connector on your BBQ - some GAS BBQ will take either type of gas. My Weber does.

Youd be better off changing the regulator on your appliance to a one suited to butane and using the cheaper butane bottles

It's all legit, I bought one 2 weeks ago. Uses a different regulator to my last patio gas cylinder, but only cost a few quid on ebay. Total bargain - the next size down forces you to exchange an old cylinder, so if you don't have one it's far more expensive!
brilliant. Just down the road and been looking for one (for next summers bbq!) so thanks for the info

I got one of these 19kg cylinders thanks to a previous gasdeal post on here some time ago, still going strong on my gas BBQ. Ordered Thursday evening and got Monday. Asked if I had an exchange bottle, which I didn't, it wasn't a problem and didn't cost me any more. Far cheaper than paying a deposit etc. I had tried to get an empty from my local tip to exchange but they wouldn't let be have or pay for one as it's not allowed.
Only negative comments on previous deal was lack of info on when it would be delivered and if not in they didn't you had to wait for another delivery, that may have changed now.

If propane gas is in the red bottles can someone remind me which gas is in the blue bottles? As the regulators are also different , can you swap regulator and bottle?
