Me too, but my pebble classic is near perfect and I bought a new strap for it last year.
Just wish the display was a bit bigger like on the time 2

I'm tempted too.
And wish the display was bigger too. You could transfer the strap.
Is anyone actually interested in the heart rate monitor? People that are, I expect get a Fitbit.

I couldn't see the Time 2 on the website but found it after your post in the Coming Soon section. Although the discount doesn't show on that page, it does in the basket. Thanks.

More battery drain to me.
But you can no doubt turn it off

I've ordered the Pebble 2 on the kickstarter campaign (wish I had waited for this deal to get it cheaper!).
I run a couple of times a week, the heart rate monitor will be an interesting extra, but its not a deal breaker.
I like the pebble apps hence why I didn't go for the fitbit
On a complete whim I just ordered the Pebble 2 - thanks OP!

You don't really save any money with getting a fitbit, and pebbles are pretty agnostic when it comes to your fitness app of choice. Plus fitbits aren't very good smartwatches unlike even the non heart rate pebbles which are actually more reliable than any fitbit I've ever owned for counting steps and tracking fitness. The heart rates a nice extra, but anyone serious about tracking it during fitness activities gets a chest strap that is cheap and accurate unlike the wrist sensors.

I have a pebble classic and love it, no apps on it though, just as standard out of the box. Any apps worth looking at?

I have a pebble time steel -so you might have to confirm these work on yours - but I like 'Nav me' for directions and 'UK transport' for quick realtime rail / bus etc time checks.. I also use 'find my android phone' when I need to locate my phone...

It'll work, but you can only use the apps that come with it, and not download more as far as I know.

- 'Timer+' - works on Classic Pebble and Time/Time steel too.
- 'tertiary_text' - works on Classic Pebble and Time/Time steel too.
- 'HTML Colors' - works on Classic Pebble and Time/Time steel too.
- 7-Minute Plus' - not sure if works on Classic Pebble but does on Time/Time steel.
- Toggles' - not sure if works on Classic Pebble but does on Time/Time steel.

Any estimate time frame for pebble time 2 shipping?

Not looking good...
After factoring for the unanticipated business closures and flight cancellations from the typhoon, we now expect to complete Pebble 2 reward shipments by the end of October.
Referring to backers, looks like November, hopefully not.

Just received this email saying Fitbit has acquired Pebble
Pebble is joining Fitbit
Fitbit has agreed to acquire key Pebble assets. Due to various factors, Pebble can no longer operate as an independent entity, and we have made the tough decision to shut down the company. The deal finalized today preserves as much of Pebble as possible.
•All unfulfilled pebble.com orders will be canceled and—if payment was taken—refunded.
Guess we won't be getting the Pebble 2 then
