I got the 3gb 32gb for about £10. Well worth the extra money.
Also, anyone know if these can be rooted without a computer, i.e. One click app?

If you're gonna be a pedant at least do it properly. You could have used quotation marks or italics, but without either your sentence looks even more nonsensical than the one you are criticising.
The grammar fuhrer will be disappointed in you.

Agree, nowt wrong at all with a lot of chinese phones, superb value for money.
Its the utter crap, completely awful bordering on illegal customer disservice from the likes of DX, gearbest and banggood that are enough to put people off, and means many like me are happy to spend 30%-40% more for a near identical spec from the likes of Amazon.
At least this is over £100, so if you pay by credit card you can shove a chargeback down their throats, never buy a £99.99 phone from them though.

I have had the 3GB/32GB gold model for 4 months. Bought it from GearBest for 170. Didn't have to pay import duty as they mark it as a gift. Shipping was free and they offered tracking.
The phone itself is brilliant. Very well made. Screen is great and it performs very well. Hasn't slowed down as yet. It lets you unlock the phone as well as individual apps with finger print recognition. This feature is lightning fast too.
Downsides
1 - No NFC and hence no Android pay if at all you use it.
2 - Camera is not the best in the world
3 - Missing 800 band
But overall it is a brilliant phone and I will stick to this brand as it is excellent value for money.

Mine is good. No problems with it. Built as well as most phones are to be honest. Certainly you would expect a lot worse for the money. Decent screen, good fingerprint scanner, huge battery.... Got it as was bored with my Xperia Z5. The only thing I miss is the waterproofing.

would advise spending an extra c. £20 for the 3gb ram 32gb storage edition. Had that model for about a week and it's great. Use the phone hard e.g. Google maps etc and it still has lasted each day so far. On a low/mid use day you should get a couple of days without charging it. Did flash a clean MIUI ROM to make sure it is secure - I'd recommending doing that with all of these type of phones

Global version with same specs can be found on aliexpress for £15 more or so, but with the benefit of 800mhz band. Used for 4G on some networks. Worth considering the bit extra for a better connection.

Is there a 5-5.2 inch phone similar to this? My 5.5 inch phone is slightly too big to fully use with one hand and a somewhere around 5 or 5.2 inches would be perfect

Just got stung by Everbuying on an Ulefone Vienna. After three months it over heated and died, Ulefone insisted I return at my own cost where they would decide if it was covered or not (I suspect not)
Previous chinese phone sold by banggood Elephone P7000 still going strong after two years.
it's hit and if you get a good one you've saved yourself a few quid. Get a bad one, tough luck.

Well, I actually have this exact phone, and I use tesco mobile which runs on o2 and I do get sporadic 4g- Giffgaff also runs on o2 so I'm not sure why that website says it doesn't have 4g on o2?

been looking at this phone for a week, umming and arring. what's putting me off is the old 1st gen quick charge, read you only get around 40-50% in an hour, with full charge taking around 3 hours. I'm a heavy user, SoT of about 7 hours a day and I don't like chargibh

Some sellers will install their own custom ROM, this can be checked in about phone the version usually has an extra zero at the end. This will then cause issues when doing updates as it can't verify newer stable releases. I updated my redmi note 3 last night with the global experimental rom Miui8 and it took no more than five mins, you need to use miflash tool. You can find loads of tutorials online.

Just get one as you won't need to charge during the day. I had to recharge my last phone (a Oneplus 2) every day and got through two full battery cycles - particularly at work as the signal is weak. With this phone I never worry about battery life and usually have 20 to 40% remaining. My phone has been off charge for 7hr 30min and has 78% left - 1hr 3min SoT and connected to my Mi band and also to my car on the way to work. I just don't worry about battery life any more.

just hate having a slow charging phone and worried that it won't last the day. currently got a Elephone p8000, 70% battery, SoT of 1 hr 30 and been off charge for 6 hours. However last 15% is just useless lasts about 5 mins. Usually get around 4 hours SoT when I play my game, then need charge for the little one to watch youtube

Any suggestions for a case, or is a phone of this size better off without one?

One thing that confuses me about this phone is the name. There's a Redmi Note 3 listed on GSMArena, and a Redmi 3 Pro, which is the 5" 720p version, i.e. a completely different phone, and then this deal (the phone I've ordered) is for a Redmi Note 3 Pro. Is there actually 2 different phones called a Note 3 and Note 3 Pro? I've even seen someone selling a Redmi Note 3 Pro Prime.
Just want to be sure the case I buy is going to fit.

I got mine from Ellesmere Port Vodafone last week http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/motorola-moto-e-2nd-gen-payg-29-10-top-up-required-vodafone-2488675
I think its a case of popping into the local shop and seeing how near to £35 to £40 they can get it to on a deal. If they dont have stock they can phone the local stores for you.
hope this helps
