That deal was for Zavvi so you should be all good, helpful if you have spare game credit/reward points to put too it

Bet the people that brought the 2tb model at inflated prices feel sick when they see this.

I paid £290 for my 2TB console, ordered a few days after it came out, smyths had them in stock (click and collect) and it came with an extra controller and overwatch which sold for £60 so the console only cost £330

Sold my 2TB for £400 cash - rather have this version considering its £150 cheaper and comes with brand new Fifa 17 game lol

Don't think people who buy them care. I'd rather wait personally. Got an Xboxone with an external 2tb hdd. I use the internal for the OS. Works a lot smoother.

Nope, chuffed to have a big internal drive rather than an external plugged in, 4k bluray is superior to any streaming service and the xbone s is cheaper than a standalone player. So I'm very happy. This is a great deal but I actually wanted the internal drive so won-win. If anyone felt "sick", they could sell the 2tb and pick up one of these (not that it should have come as a surprise anyway, people selling were always going to imo)

Eh why? I'd still buy the 2tb version over this at £349

Cheaper to get a 500GB model with an external HDD, glad I didn't take the plunge on the 2TB.

Crazy how Microsoft charged so much more for the 2TB version. Saying that I guess it was more of an "early buyers" fee.
I mean you can get this as well as a 2TB HDD for like £300. £50 less with 500GB additional storage and FIFA 17. Crazy stuff.

Im sticking with day one 500gb until Scorpio comes out

Cheaper, but won't do HD audio bitstreaming.
Not many people would buy a 4k Bluray player that didn't offer Atmos, DTS-X or any of the older HD audio formats via bitstream, making the player useless for me

Don't feel sick at all. £100 more for 1.5tb more internal memory (don't like external) and a stand that costs £20 on its own. Plus I got it on the 2nd August wheras Fifa comes out when? September/October?

Thx, but I'll wait for the next console release next year. I don't watch enough movies to justify. Plus I have 33 games and the idea of installing a handful on a new console makes me shudder.

Can one play fifa in this xbox online without having to pay the yearly subscription like we do with the ps4?
mudstuff to Kindsaver
16 Aug 16#26
No, Microsoft have always required an online subscription. Typically it's a little cheaper than ps plus though, around £30 or less.

That's fair enough in your case but I disagree with the "many" statement. I'd argue that many will indeed purchase and not care about the latest audio formats. Lots of people don't have the space for a surround setup, just use tv audio or have a soundbar that doesn't support the latest formats but would appreciate 4k pictures. I have a 55" 4k TV in my bedroom and it's awesome, I use a headphone amp and find the sound very good. Granted it's not atmos or x but it stands up for me - recently played amazing spiderman 2 and the revenant and didn't feel the sound was lacking behind the picture. I totally appreciate where you're coming from compared to the standalone players though. If I had the space and a decent amp again (I'm in a small rental) I'd get a compatible player.

I'm not getting at the people that paid the rrp, more thinking about the inflated prices of £450+ on eBay and Amazon market place after it was sold out everywhere.

what does the word go mean next to where it says 500gb
far too expensive for a rubbish 500gig. pointless as you need 1tb minimum and even that runs out far too quickly with only a handful of games installed. about time Microsoft dropped the prices and made a bigger hard drive as standard with 2tb or 3tb and went back to decent black colour and not this awful white one

I tell you what is rubbish saying you need 1tb minimum. I've got by fine with my day one 500gb and the majority of my games are downloads.

Exactly. And the smart people buy external drives if they want a faster experience due to the terrible Sata2 interface inside the Xbox One.
dave859
18 Aug 16#39
External drives are cheap now days, get this 500gb model and buy a 2tb external drive for around £60. Total cost £310, yes it's a tenner more than what you would of paid for the 1tb model but the extra 1.5tb storage has got to be worth that.

Avoid GAME, Get it off Amazon.
GAME probably won't be around longer. All of a sudden my store in the city centre just closed without any sort of notice. When this retailer closes for good is the day I fully shave my head!
