TL;DR

It's got gripped back on it, Bluetooth, slimmer and more comfatable Shape. It's wayyyyy better then the other Xbox one controller.

Got this working with my lenova yoga 2 via bluetooth. Took a bit of fiddling but playing emulated mariokart on the pad made i all worth it. Delivered by sainsburys with some free shopping as detailed earlier in thread.

I was looking forward to the release of this controller, as I play on PC and a bluetooth adapter is much cheaper than the rip off £18-20 wireless adapter for the other controller.

But the controller is £15 more expensive than the old controller anyway, so it's a pretty poor deal. Pay £15 extra on each controller so I can save £15 by buying a £5 bluetooth dongle instead of the £18.50 microsoft wireless dongle. I don't know what I expected from Microsoft.

I don't need one for now as pc has the wireless dongle thingy for the xbox one pad.

Maybe pick one up in the future.

That's not correct, the controller thankfully still connects to the console via the Xbox wireless protocol.

The new Xbox One S doesn't have Bluetooth built in.

Bluetooth is only used for connecting to PC's/phones.

No, it does have a textured grip of sorts but it's very minimal you hardly notice it's there. It's nothing like the grip on the Forza pad, lunar white or Elite controller.

Anyone know if it works on iOS devices? Google brings up lots of people talking about it before it came out but can't seem to find anyone trying it now that it's out.

I wish Sony put more effort into the PS4 controller. The Xbox ones have been superior since the 360 days. Hopefully the Neo will come with a revised one.

I personally think it feels a bit cheap and plasticy, the face buttons are a little squishy, sticks feel a little loose and the "grip" is almost non-existent. I haven't tried the Bluetooth, I tend to run a cable to the pc. The lunar white is way superior if you can find one, I use it more than the elite. Just my two-pennies worth. :man:

Why are people talking about this controller like it's brand new, did they change it in some way? I thought it was the exact same one as they've been selling, just in white?

I got this with my XBOX S, they also gave me another controller for £30 the same type. It is good but I am yet to use it for other devices. Not convinced with the grip though. Would have been better with more grip but I guess would have worn down over usage if was rubber.

I still prefer my dualshock 4 as it feels more comfortable in my hands but after getting a one s and two of these last week I can see what all the fuss is about with xbox controllers.

Got this controller with my One S. Massive upgrade over the 360 pad and Dualshock 4.

I've used the Elite pad as well and if you can spare the extra £50 for that I would say go for it. If not the S pad is the best you'll get for £45.
