I bought this for about £25 on release but do you still get the codes for Gears 1,2,and 3 if you buy this? A bit pointless giving you the code for a backwards compatible Gears 1, considering I'd just bought a remastered version with some extra campaign, but worth downloading to see just how good Gears was 10 or 11 years ago. Strangely I never got the code for Gears Judgement but that's a blessing in disguise but I never finished Gears 2 and I will get round to having a crack at that. Why do Xbox 360 games seem so much better to play on the Xbox One?

The 360 version is also around the pound mark in cex. Its back compatible and is the same game minus the dlc and upscaled graphics

The first one feels gritty on the 360. I don't mind the remaster but sometimes it's a bit smooth. I think the original has a great old school feel to it

Doubt it, I think this was announced and made before BC was a thing, so now remasters are a bit pointless.

I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss remasters. Considering this is published my Microsoft and they knew about BC, they wouldn't have wasted time and money remastering it if they thought the original would suffice. Other remasters, albeit not from Microsoft, are still coming, such as Bioshock.
I'd expect maybe 2 and 3 to be remastered somewhere down the line.

Jumping in for the Gear Heads any idea why my GOW3 keeps saying 'Campaign DLC cannot be read' even though I can play GOW3 campaign and Raam's Shadow as normal and with mutators?
Wonder if it has anything to do with offline Horde unable to get Silverback rockets and Command Center Hammer of Dawn? :neutral_face: I can get them, but have to play online.

I don't think they'll bother remastering Gears 2 or 3, especially as 4 is coming out so soon. A good move to remaster the first one and make the others BC though.
Some games are just special. Skyrim , Resi 4 and Bioshock all well worthy of remasters. Strange how I can't wait to get my hands on them yet how many times have I played through Resi 4 and Bioshock?!
