i was buying wrc 5 after i saw the price from the link here, i noticed that there was a pre-order for wrc6 .
WRC 6 will feature all 14 rounds of the 2016 season, including for the first time Rally China, all the leading WRC drivers and also a wide selection of competitors from the WRC 2 and Junior WRC categories.

Wonder if it'll be better than Dirt Rally, which I really enjoy but always feel I actually need a wheel/pedals etc to appreciate properly.

Every one of the WRC games has been rank rotten. WRC 5 was new developers than the previous 4 but still not worth touching so I have very low hopes for this one. There is a demo to see how 4 plays if you're interested, but not even close to touching Dirt Rally.

I run dirt rally at 4K and it looks superb, but driving with a 360 gamepad turns the game into a lottery.
After months of trying I finally got the advanced settings right and the game was very good. But when I changed to another car the driving was a nightmare again. So with reluctance, I have given up with the game.
Wrc 6 will never match the visuals of dirt rally but at least it may be fun. DR is a dire experience with a gamepad. I'm not about to sit on my sofa with a fake steering wheel on my knee.
