Wileyfox swift back on amazon at £99.99.

Missed this while I was deciding which phone to go for. :disappointed: Do Amazon ever refund price difference if I buy it now and it goes down again in the next week or so? Usually I wait at times like this but my Z1C's battery life has suddenly dropped to about 10 or use-time before it's turns off so it's not worth holding off to save £25. ;__; At least I'll be able to swap out the battery should the Swift's fail, as long as they're selling replacements and do so for a while.

If you want a even better price go via Flubit. I got one for £86.50.

I'm believe 100 for an s5 but 50 for a g4 seems a bit far fetched

Easy enough to get them for around a ton.I just bought a mint LG G4 for £50 last week.

Actually both slots are 4G compatable. There's a big BUT though. When one slot is used for 4G/3G the other will be stepped down to 2G. I've tried the phone. If you force both 4G/3G it will simply not work.

if the phone gave issues who do we contact and are they based in the UK who could help?
example a screen replacement or faulty issue ?

Cheap price, and good for the money, but the only thing British about it is (presumably) the nationality of the Chief Executive.
If you need after sales, expect to call a UK number and be transferred to a Dutch call centre.

this has been on the deal page for several weeks now, it's a basic phone and is about to be replaced so not really worth this price. when the new phone comes out the price will drop further.

I think you are confusing the Moto G4 for the Moto G 3rd. The G4 isn't fully waterproof, and the lowest storage option is 16GB, not 8GB.

27 Aug 16#2
how is this compared to the motorola g4?
tearfly to fazzx
27 Aug 16#9
It's a 5" screen vs the Moto's 5.5" screen. It has a slower processor and worse battery life but overall it's a good phone for the price.

The Moto G4 is a good phone, but doesn't have a replaceable battery or compass sensor. No use to me.

similar specs. moto camera is better and moto is fully waterproof. wife has the moto but is annoyed with the limited (8gb) of it. i have a swift and love it. swift is much better value for money.

Charged it Thursday night. Still have 54% charge left. I may be a light user, but the Swift is much better for battery life than any smartphone I've had before.
By the time I actually need a replacement battery, if ever, I'll probably have a choice. Moto G owners can send their phones to recycling when the non-replaceable battery fails.

The Medatek CPU in the Swift+ isn't well liked online by reviews. The SD 410 in the Swift is better.

can confirm it's made in china as I just returned my phone yesterday back to amazon, definitely not worth the money for the spec of this phone. The made in china tag is printed on the battery slot. The actual phone is only worth about £70 max if it's unbranded.
If you are not sure with the phone specs you can always check out devicespecifications website it compares specs of all smartphones available in the market.

I bought this on prime day and played with it for about an hour and sent it back for a refund. It feels like a child's toy. Very plasticky. My 2 year old S5 is far superior for the same money.

I can't comment on the OP's Deal as I've never owned any of these Phones in the past myself, but however ...
WOW!, you think it's possible to get a Samsung Galaxy S5 for £100?, or less then?, show me where please?, as I'd prefer that better (even though I've had a Samsung go belly up on me some years back, at £100 odd for a Galaxy S5?, there's little disputing that one) .....
Lol. :-)

How can a device have a greater talk time than standby time? Makes no sense. This is a low end device in any case. I'd wait for the new Nexus phones to come out and bag a bargain on one of the older models like the Nexus 5x.
There are better options for just a little bit more mullah (G4, Obi, Smart Ultra etc.).

As Mr_Mister said, the new version is out in a few days. Chief difference seems to be more memory (2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage).
Also worth noting that the original version is £89.99 direct from Wileyfox which is £5 cheaper than Amazon. And the new version will ship with a power bank if you order it direct.

The spark plus has a MediaTek™ 6735 a 2200 mah battery and apparently gives 352 hours stand by and 720 mins talk time while this swift has Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 410 8916 a 2500 mah battery which gives 200 hours stand by and 3g 480 mins talk time or 2g 600 mins. I dont know anything about chips etc but i presume the mediatech must be extremely efficient compared to the snapdragon ?

It doesn't have the 3 capacitive buttons at the bottom in the unused bezel space, instead they're 'software' ones that take up part of the screen. I hate tablets/phones that have those, so a deal breaker for me.

Notice the quotation marks for "made in Britain"
Wileyfox marketed themselves as a British brand and fed the mobile industry media stories about how they are 100% British, yet of course these phones are made in some factory in the far East.
What does appear to be a problem is the build quality of at least some handsets, which is compounded by duff customer service.
I know that the majority of Swift owners are pleased with their phones, but those who have experienced problems aren't happy with their customer service.
I can't believe that the newly released batteries are only 2200mAh - the battery life on this phone is pretty rubbish as it is.

I almost got this phone but the user reviews on Amazon aren't all that great.
If you do have a problem with the phone, wileyfox customer service sounds pretty terrible.
I don't want to say it but the whole "made in Britain" stigma isn't inspiring much confidence!

Made in Britain is just a sales gimmick, the phone as far as I know is made in China like most phones are nowadays.
I think they get away with it by saying they're a British company so people expect the products to be made here.

The made in Britain thing is innacurate I suspect, it may be a British company but you can bet that this is made in China, mostly designed in China with Wileyfox specifying some of the specifications. The very best you could hope for was it being assembled in Britain from parts made in China.
edit: In fact they state:
Where are Wileyfox phones made?
Wileyfox phones are engineered in Europe and manufactured in China

The replaceable battery has only recently been made available and its only 2200 mah  for another £15. The original is 2500 mah and will not get you far. You will need access to a charge point or spare battery etc if you want to use the phone anthing over minimal use during the day. Does any body know if we can buy extended batterys for this phone anywhere ?

Loving this phone.Got it from last time a hukd deal.
Had two updates since I got it. Unlike the big manufacturer who respond to security problems in Android by either taking months to send out an update or as is more common, they do nothing.
For this price I would highly recommend the phone.
