3D World... possibly the best Mario game ever made. Up there with Galaxy, Bros 3, and World

No it's not. It couldn't hold a candle to any of those games. It's a lazy effort on Nintendo's part and lacking in so many regards. Methane blowing foul smelling hot air.

Really pleased these are joining the Selects range, as I sold these on a mad clear-out a while back. Fancy playing through 3D world, C Toad, & Pikmin 3 once again!
..Can't resist quality gaming at reasonable prices

Bleh, bought Treasure Tracker a few days ago for 20. At least it's the original cover, I guess.

just wish the toad amiibo was that cheap so i can play the extra levels on captain toads game
Strange they'd start with Captain Toad than Mario 3D World.

Found it to be average, not a patch on Galaxy or even Sunshine imho

Likely to be cheaper elsewhere once properly rolled out?

Totally agree. I thought it was a great game, very polished and great fun, but nowhere near as original or compelling as Galaxy or even Sunshine (I know sunshine isn't the most popular, but I personally loved it, played it for about a week straight along with Resident Evil Zero on the gamecube whilst bed-bound recovering from an operation in my teens).

Been holding back getting CTTT but will be getting it at this price.
Pikmin 3 will be a "must get". Been after it since it was released but the shops were asking silly money for it.

I'm hoping Nintendo adds Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros to the Selects range in the near future.
Does the select pricing apply to digital at any point?

Should be, like the first set of Selects games. Not sure when though.

I enjoyed 3d world over both Galaxy games. Time to purchase Captain Toad again.

3d world is good, but agreed not as good as Galaxy or SM64. However there are some devious challenges later in the game and well worth going for!

Get them. Get them all! Well I don't know about Mario Party 10 but the rest are absolutely fantastic games, especially at this price.

I agree it's bloody awful can't move 360 ur stuck at 8 directions it's so clunky compared to what we are used to in a Marino 3D platform game ! Hated it so much lol

You reckon that the price is going to drop to 15 pounds? (the price is great, not complaining but if it's going lower...)

Wave 1 eventually got to that price so it's possible.

Yeah, Mario 3D World was pretty much 3D Land 2 and in HD. Not that amazing of a game but fun nonetheless.

even more unbelievable :I have it (with original cover art not these ugly budget re-releases),and I still haven't even opened the shrink wrap.
and its been 3+ months.
sad.

I think I'd agree had I not played it almost exclusively multiplayer, which turns into a brilliantly maniacal game of hindrances and crown theft, harder then single player.
Also, 3D World does have Champion's Road, which is by far the hardest 3D Mario level ever conceived. Every few months we have another crack at it, still can't beat it...

Great deal! Currently an Xbox One owner (It gets very little use), need some advice, should i sell my Xbox one and purchase a Wii U? Or hold off until March (Nintendo Nx). Main reason is gameplay, i have so much nostalgia from Nes / Snes / N64 ... gamecube not so much, the games are so well designed and fun to play, it really doesn't compare to what you get on the PS4 / Xbox, really love some of the pick up and play games from Nintendo.
P.S Both Xbox One and PS4 are excellent, but not really for me.

It's not about agreeing or disagreeing. Mario 3D World has the same camera style, gameplay, controls and level design all of which make it part of the 3D Land world. Nintendo obviously lazied out with Mario 3D World to bring a new Mario game to the Wii U without too much effort.
The next Nintendo home console is going to be out by March 2017 so really, just a couple more months and the Wii U's on its way out officially. So, not only will the price of it drop like the Wii did but also the games worth owning and playing will be cheap, i.e., the ones with the Selects' stamp. Hopefully Nintendo will do a third and fourth wave because there's a few left that are really good too.

Well, it's the same game engine, so it's naturally going to have the same feel- same with Donkey Kong Country/Land back in the day. Wouldn't say that's a reason to shun it, esp considering they're on different consoles.
I didn't know what direction they'd go after Galaxy 2 and this did feel like a step back, but that's all so they could add multiplayer into a 3D Mario game which is hard as balls to do but super fun.

Mario 3D World is an insane amount of game for £16.85, pure brilliance.
I've 100%'d it including with all characters, and it was one of the hardest. Champion's Road is crazy difficult. Very satisfying to beat though!
