Gamers aren't, it must be said, about to run short on games about space marines. There's a world of difference, however, between space marines and Space Marines, arguably the original armoured warriors fighting out in the black of space. And, while Marcus Fenix et al might be pretty tough guys, the Space Marines from Games Workshop's insanely popular Warhammer 40K universe are nothing short of super-human. Genetically modified, put through psycho-chemical conditioning and dragged through years of rigorous training that would kill any of us mere mortals, these guys are hard of nails.
While we've seen them in plenty of strategy games, this is the first time gamers have been able to step directly into the boots of the Space Marines for action-based combat.
Set on an Imperial Forge World, these planets are covered with machinery whose sole purpose is to feed the war-machine of the Imperium forces. The world was guarded by the Imperial Guard who fell against a horde of Orks who are intent on capturing the planet for their own devices.
With the Imperial Fleet three days away, it falls on a nearby battalion of Ultra Marines to act as shock troops to prepare the way for the Imperial Fleet. The player takes on the role of Captain Titus who leads a squad of marines onto the planet in order to secure it.
The game controls in a way that reflects the offence based tactics used by the space marines found in the WH40K universe. Charging in head long is the order of the day with over the top melee and ranged weapons being the tools at the players disposal.
Combat is not complex, with the one button/sequence of blows mechanic being prevalent. There are times however that a brutal take down can be initiated, resulting in a very satisfying, if somewhat gory and grisly end to the player's foe.
So, never mind all those pretenders. It's time to take one of the original Space Marines out for a spin.

No, for them it was supposed to be the Final Fantasy Type 0 collector's edition. Quite a few of them had ordered it and the same thing happened to all of them.

I'd be careful too. Although it was through the musicmagpie ebay page, they've messed up quite a few orders of mine. But the actual proper website when I ordered the steelbook/specials of Dead Rising & Resident Evil 6 were both fine.
I'm tempted with this though.....

Awesome find. I've been looking for a decent price on the physical version of the soundtrack for ages. Thanks!

I have been buying from them for sometime now and obviously the majority of stuff I buy are special editions etc. Out of 5 special/collectors editions I've bought from them by far they all came as they should've been. However, two of my purchases were returned by myself mainly because the content in the box was less than it should've been. Both games returned were two special editions of assassin creeds. But also considering what I've bought was a preowned copy, I should've say I've been satisfied by far as almost everything I've bought came in mint conditions.

Be very careful with this lot.
I'm on a forum where someone shared a special edition of a game for sale by them and everyone had their order changed without informing them before shipping. *EDIT - [For clarification] Changed to an inferior version to what was ordered.
Plus personally they screwed me over on two special editions by leaving me for weeks before saying there must have been a mistake as they're suddenly out of stock.
Not voted as it's a good price for a really nice edition but I wouldn't touch Music Magpie, especially with fancy editions, with a barge pole.

Walked into my local game a few years back,(when they were having one of their wobbles) and was asked by the lone salesman if I wanted the PS3 version sat in the cabinet behind him.
Having just bought the pre-owned disc only for 99p,I was a little reluctant to purchase another version.
When he said the unwrapped collector's edition was only £1.48,I happily accepted it
Have some heat btw
