Still running my snapdragon 410 variant of the 4 turbo that was bought for £50 over a year ago. Still nothing tempting me to upgrade.

Argos are also selling the Alcatel Pixi 4 (5) locked to EE for £44.99. The two phones are basically the same, as the Turbo 7 is based on the Pixi 4 (5).

I had the Ultra a few months back. Was great at first then around 2-3 months down the line it developed a mind of its own. Apps opening, music tracks changing and all sorts. Shame really code I kinda liked it !

The screen is also worse on the SU7. Technically its the same spec as the SU6, but it's recessed so there is a noticeable gap between the screen and the glass on top. It's very noticeable outdoors in bright light, where the screen becomes almost invisible.

VF's entire 2016 "7" range has been a let down.

The 8gb would be a worry to me. Apps can't always be moved onto the SD card and 8gb would soon be swallowed up.

Is this a good phone for the price? Planning to gift it to some one.

Yeah, and the ultra 7 has a pants mediatek CPU. The platinum one is £100 too much, greedy Vodafone execs. The SU6 was the best budget phone since the first Moto G, the platinum which IMO is the proper SU6 successo should have been £140 nationwide, not just in that one store.

Vodafone have gone downhill with making decent spec only decent one there is ultra 7 vodafone

Not bad, but a FWVGA screen isn't going to look great at 5".

Must admit the 6 looks better specs and cheaper.

I no longer a fan of phones that only 1gb ram I always buy 2gb or more of ram

At least the unlock should be zero cost after 30 days of Voda SIM use: "There are no charges for network unlock
