Yes I know Vodafone don't have a cap on there data so you'll get charged for what you've used over, but most phones have the ability to stop data usage once a limit is reached.
Yes I know you have to claim cashback, but I have used e2save several times and it's very easy to do so and they give you a generous 60 days to do so (if I remember correctly).

------------------------------------------------------------------------
How to claim?
Log in to your account on e2save and send a copy of bill for the following months:
Bill Claim Amount
Bill Dated November 2016 £26.88
Bill Dated January 2017 £26.88
Bill Dated March 2017 £26.88
Bill Dated May 2017 £26.88
Bill Dated July 2017 £26.88
------------------------------------------------------------------------
£19.20 a month without cashback, claiming on the correct dates will bring it down to £8 a month (total cost of £96 for 12 months) which I think is a fantastic deal.

Hope it helps someone

I also wanted to add here as I saw on the similar mobiles.co.uk thread for the 20GB offer currently on that someone was saying it caused grief that they had two phone lines on the account so submitting the bill was more difficult..

I'm in the same situation and I asked if it was an issue. ....told shouldn't be.si I submitted October's bill in as a test with an explanatory note asking if my redacted bill was acceptable? ? it obviously failed as it wasn't November's bill but otherwise was acceptable. ..do I redacted the November Bill and it was accepted without issue. .. I had effectively redacted all details from the other non claimant line and the bill was completely acceptable so other than 30 seconds spent reacting the other details it was no issue at all submitting a bill with more than one line on it as long as you make it clear what you are claiming for

Okay cheers just checked the e2save website and noticed my submission had been rejected. I think it may have been the file type that I submitted, anyway have re submitted with a JPEG file type off the required info required. thanks again for your advice.

mine was paid a couple, of weeks ago... and I had to wait for the 23rd November too, it was accepted in a couple of days and cheque soon after, fantastic service .

just checked my cheque, and its dated 6th December, I didn't submit until about 25th November so as you can see less than 2 weeks

I'm soo annoyed I couldn't get an additional 2 accounts at this deal (they said i had to wait 3 months) but the deals went before my time was up :disappointed: The current deal is obviously better still, but not for a low user, so as unlikely as it is that these deals will collapse, being responsible for 4 of them is a bit different than 1

Anyone know when the first redemption amount will be paid for this deal / what is a normal turn around time ? November bill submitted on time.

I can't imagine that a potential SIM format & ID is relevant in any way to our e2save cashback claims as you keep the phone #.

While Vodafone's original despatch note will have included the SIM ID, there is NOTHING on my Vodafone bills other than the phone #, so nothing for e2save to "unmatch" the deal.

I updated my number after porting my original number but would there be any problems if i changed the sim itself? Currently using a phone with a micro sim but could be changing to an IPhone with a nano.

When your Vodafone a/c reaches the monthly bill milestones for the e2save claims; you go to your online Vodafone a/c and grab the Vodafone bill - ie Vodafone actually provide a button to "Download as PDF".

Then you log onto the e2save site with your original order # and submit a cashback claim via the "My Cashback" menu heading and button to upload your bill ie that PDF you got from Vodafone.

e2save have a page there too with more about the how to ie the second item in the "My Cashback" menu - which links to this page (which you won't see until you're logged into your e2save online a/c):
https://www.secure-mobiles.com/customer_login/cashback/mycashbacktips

(Finesse: Do watch out if you change your Vodafone's contract phone number - eg my migrating another # via PAC to the Vodafone a/c - that you update your e2save a/c at the same time.)

The e2save claims I'd made on a previous (100% payback!) Talkmobile cashback had 4 of 5 claims validated within a couple of hours and cheque received well within their max 6 weeks timetable; my recent 5th claim took to the next working day to get validated but I'm hopeful that cheque will arrive in due course.

forgot to respond back here ref my version of the incorrect billing saga...
Pretty similar to MK above really, multiple calls/chats to various vodafone and e2save employees with a fairly positive experience to be fair..

after a few seemingly helpful VF contacts being of little use(genuinely not for the want of trying, I eventually got through to a guy who was just completely switched on and understood the issue..
He had a cock-en-ee jack the lad attitude , with a cheeky chappy way about him, but although he was 'bigging' himself up he apologised for the grief I had relayed and after a few moments on hold, he came back and reeled off all of the changes he had made whilst away .. (I had two accounts needing modifying as I also got a great upgrade 'match', when being prepared to leave for this deal) although these changes didn't show for me online untill the second bill, he did everything he claimed including adding cash equivalent of free months to my account .

I found similar solace in an e2save rep who was much more switched on and just 'got it' when explaining the situation,

I've tried to add two more Vodafone accounts with the newer version of this deal with less Gb :disappointed: but acceptable for those needs, however despite Vodafone connections team assuring me my account can accept two extra lines(after being updated) Voda repeatedly refusing the e2save credit check :disappointed: very frustrating as I just wanted all 4 accounts on the same or very similar tariffs at similar change dates , but I've tried all sorts of work-arounds and Credit checks repeatedly fail :disappointed:

Guys signed up to the vodaphone sim only deal ( unlimted texts / minutes and 12GB monthly data plan ) via e2save at £19.20 a month. I pay via direct debit so just wonder how I go about submitting my bill as such to e2save ?
mk-donald
2 Oct 16 #115
I signed up for the £19.20/m plan via e2save in late Aug.
Vodafone wrote that £32/m plan set up
Phoned V who said had to sort it via e2save
First V bill raised at £32/m
Phone e2save who recognised issue but said couldn't solve immediately but would do so within 5 days
emailed e2save week later who replied sorry not sorted but would sort within 5 days
Two weeks later online chat to V who agreed to put me on £19.20 henceforth BUT needed e2save to sort until then
Second V bill showing £32 less 40% for 9months ie net £19.20/m but (a) that's not what I signed for (b) only for 9m!
Today online chat to V to say NOT HAPPY and they say will extend 40% off to 12m!
Meanwhile I'm trying MSE recommended Resolver service for Carphone Warehouse to see if they'll deal with e2save complaints
(Resolver worked very well with my last complaint re DSG PCW/Currys)

PS: CW replied promptly on Resolver : will NOT deal with e2save brand complaints :disappointed:

PPS: Made a written complaint to e2save in the end. That finally got a successful contact (by phone) from a competent guy in e2save's complaints department. Essentially they recognise they fouled up with Vodafone contract setup and have agreed to compensate me - eg for any overcharging (ie £32/m v £19.20/m) during my 12m contract commitment and were categoric that even if a Vodafone bill referred to £32/m contract less 40% discount = £19.20/m then that was 100% valid for their cashback - ie as £19.20/m contract they had sold me.
So I'm unhappy with the hassle; but happy with the (likely) £8.50/m net Vodafone 12GB+4GB roam + unlimited; and the Vodafone App showing usage is a luxury! (It's only because for last two years they'd been 100% cashbacking a Talkmobile contract that I considered e2save!)

Managed to get mine sorted earlier week too i think by calling Vodafone.
Called Vodafone last week, and they said there wasn't anything they could do, that it has to be done via e2save.
Must not have changed their approach, as Vodafone did it for me a few days back.

When i logon my online account now, and go into the bundles option, it still shows £32 as the monthly rental, but does say underneath it about a 40% discount being applied, so hopefully that's it.
Also, they say they have credited by account with £12.80 for the amount i was overcharged on my 1st bill. (Difference between £32 and £19.20)

Will find out on my 2nd bill on the 17th Sept if they got it right this time, here's hoping.

I've had similar issues as others regarding the price plan being set up at the wrong price. Mine was showing on the Vodafone bill as £32 instead of £19.20 as signed up for. E2save were aware of the issue and said they would inform their "investigative" team to contact Vodafone, but as of today there was no update and I had my first direct debit taken out for £32.
Decided to contact Vodafone again myself just now via live chat and the guy resolved it straight away! Applied the 40% discount needed and gave me £12.80 credit on my next bill to resolve the issue. Might be worth seeing if the live chat personal will help you if you're still having trouble.

Took this deal through quidco for the cash back instead of redemption. Same problem shows 32. Phoned yesterday told it would be amended by midnight. Still hasn't been. I'll give it the weekend then I'm calling for my pac code and leaving. Clinically I think it's so they can deny my cash back as that was for a 1920 contract not a 32 one. Wondering if e2save will do the same and say the contact is not the one they were selling as its not a 1920 on sale one its a 32 one with a discount applied on

Well after getting 2 completely different opinions from Vodafone chat I'd pretty much say the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. I have the chat from this morning saved to my work PC. I'll private message you a copy. 4G signal is perfect where I am, even better than what I had before on EE, so will be desperately unhappy if things don't work themselves out

I had the same problem today charged £32. I phoned Vodafone who were not helpful and told me to phone carphone warehouse and then take offer with Vodafone of £19.20 online instead. Have spoken to e2save again, they apologise and say they are working again. they've confirmed via email that they'll refund the difference if I pay £32. also confirmed via email that they'll be extending the 14 day policy to cancel.

But do I really want or need this hassle? should I just cancel and move to BT?

Well having read umpteen posts on here about how useless Vodafone are and thinking that they couldn't really be that bad ..... well they are!

I contacted them on their live chat both last night and this morning. The guy I spoke to last night said the 32 charge was "normal" and to leave him a good review when we finished the chat. Then the lady I spoke with this morning was extremely helpful and said that she would apply the 40% discount to my account. I'll believe it when I see it though.

Furthermore, I've tried on both desktop and mobile (using 4G) to register for Sky Sports Mobile and it's going to apply a charge of £4.99. Useless again

I bought this direct from Voda and have the same issue with £32 the live chat bloke is adamant it's a £32 contract even though I have a confirmation email stating £19.20 also when I go through to claim the Spotify option it's only giving me paid options. Been with them 3 days they've already done my head in. Think I'm gonna cancel as can't be doing with the hassle.

Like the previous few posts, had a text message stating first bill will be £32 and logged on to Vodafone to see the same also.

Rang e2save who said it's something they're aware of and something that they're working with Vodafone to resolve.

Rather annoyingly, with my first bill being taken in a few days it looks like I'll be paying £32 on my first bill

Hey Nick, I'm afraid I'm unsure why that is. I'd assumed it was the age old situation that the partner gets paid more to bring a new customer to a network than if they retain an existing one.

I'd personally not risk any complications (I.e. forefeiting the cashback) by making subsequent changes but then I'm all for an easy life!

I have read this also on e2saves website and heard it before , but can you tell me why?? vodafone chat seemed to suggest it could be done ok, and sent a link to their version of the how to change over number process?

Is there any reason not to try this method? or will the failure cause an issue with trying again to use the intermediary payg sim card method??

and whilst on this point is there any 'better' sim or sim type? payg etc . to attempt this method with at all??

Thanks, Nick

Also getting billed for £32. E2save said they'd sort it and call me back by 6pm this evening. They haven't called back. I'll be calling them tomorrow and threatening a small claims court filing for the difference between £32 and £8.50 on the length of the contract (if they can't get it sorted upfront I'm unlikely to trust them with the cash back). Got the same bill for £32.
SIM never arrived today (as i only ordered yesterday), so just called into a Vodafone store, did a SIM-Swap, where they cancelled the original one and get me a new SIM for free on the spot (excellent service i have to say), as i need it for travelling abroad tomorrow.
Registered for Vodafone online, and can see bill produced for £32 for a single months rental.
Contacted E2Save, who through their phone options, transferred me to Vodafone, but they couldn't change it, said i had to do it with E2Save direct.
Called E2Save back, got through to someone in Customer Services, and he said they'd have the issue fixed within 72 hrs, and if i logon to MyVodafone account after 4-5 days, i should see it changed to £19.20, and a new bill will be produced to replace the £32 one.
So let's see...

18 Aug 16 #86
Have you checked on the bill for how many days line rental they are charging you for?
I.e. they could be charging you for line rental for more than one month, the way billing cycles work.
So say you are 5 days into a billing cycle, the could be charging you for the rest of the days in that billing cycle, and then also for the next months rental in advance.
That's standard, just check your bill and see the rental dates you're paying for.
Might not be an issue at all.

So far very frustrating move to this.
transfered my old number to the sim.
checked speed tests and was only getting 1-2Mb 4G ps, when i inserted my brothers bt sim in my phone, i got roughly 15Mb ps. called them and they've informed me there's some maintenance works taking place in my area.

Set up my account this morning, viewed latest bill, came up at £32 a month, called vodafone saying it should be £19.20, they've informed me they can't change it as it was ordered by e2save.
Contacted e2save and they told me they'll sort it out within the next couple of days. - I'm hoping it doesn't pass the 14 days as I will not be paying £32 a month for this - no way.

Cheers Op,

Ordered this earlier this morning, went via TCB and it tracked for £15.15.
If it pays, great, as i was only expecting it to track for £5.

Do anyone know how long it takes to arrive, i know it's says it's dispatched by 2nd class post, mine has said it dispatched earlier today, around 4.30pm, but i know sometimes they can be sent via RM Tracked 24 or 48.
Anyone know when their's dispatched, and when theirs arrived.

It's just i head off for a 2 week holiday on Friday morning, so wondering if it may come next day...
Here's hoping.

Was also thinking if it doesn't come, i think you can walk into a Vodafone store, and get a replacement SIM for free, so may try that if it works, as i want it for hols for the roaming.

Can anyone advise on the entertainment option you can get, ie Sky Sports Mobile, from what I can gather it can only be watched on the mobile device, not casted to a larger screen.

Or is there a way to plug the phone into the tv for viewing and if that's not an option could the sim be popped into my Ipad and still use the app for watching the football.

I took out the 20gb version of this deal (Red Value) for £10.50 after redemption from Mobiles.co.uk posted on here recently and can confirm the entertainment was included. I took out a Vodafone contract via mobile phones direct/smart phone store back in February. It did not come with any of the entertainment offers and Vodafone told me that only contracts sold directly by Vodafone would qualify not those purchased via a third party dealer. If not getting Now TV/Sky Sports/Spotify is a deal breaker for you, I would tread carefully!

Ordered sim for this deal and they sent me a micro, but I needed a nano. I asked could e2save send me out a nano instead and they said no, I'd have to contact vodafone. Vodafone said yes we can send you out a nano, we'll cancel this contract and start another. I asked if I'd still get my cashback and they said no. Vodafone then tried the hard sell saying you'll never get the cashback off e2save. They wouldn't replace the sim.
I ended up in my wisdom thinking I'll keep the micro for myself and cancel my current contract and order another Sim (nano for my son). Low and behold, this time I didn't pass the credit check. I've still not got a nano Sim for my son and he is gutted. God knows how this will affect my credit rating and If I'll be able to get a Sim elsewhere. I've never failed a credit check in my life! I'm so angry I feel like cancelling the 1st contract! Ni idea who I'm more angry with e2save or Vodafone! :disappointed:

Unfortunately the money grabbing headline of this deal will sway some people but please listen to the horror stories about Vodafone because they are actually genuine and not just a few disgruntled customers. I have been a Vodafone customer for the past year and have had nothing but disgraceful service from Vodafone. I took out a sim only deal and the price I was promised wasn't delivered so I had to chase them multiple times to get it rectified. I took out a second sim on the account and low and behold the promised price wasn't applied onto the account. Every single time I phoned to complain I had to explain the story over and over again. It's literally as if the CS reps don't record anything or speak to each other, and then they just offer you empty promises to fix the problems. Vodafone also cut off one of my SIM cards without my authority and it took over a month to get it reconnected, all the while I was still being billed. Vodafone also set up a new sim only contract in my name without my knowledge which I had to cancel.

In all it took a five page letter to the ombudsman to get my problems anywhere near to being fixed, and I have called Vodafone in excess of 40 times since December 2015 to get my problems fixed.

The final nail in the coffin for me was when I spoke to Vodafone recently about potentially getting some sort of deal specific for me for renewal since I've had so many problems and they couldn't even match the deals you see on compare market websites, the best they could do was offer £40 credit on a £37 a month phone deal.

Honestly to anyone considering Vodafone go check out reviews for them online and ask yourself do I really wanna sign up long term to a company that has 3 times more complaints than any other company, and gets rated 0.4/10 in almost 3000 reviews?

If it does il be going for it but the e2save website is abit of a joke with no tariff names- it does correlate with a tariff on Vodas own website that gives 4gb data with 1 of the 12 month packs but dont want to risk it as maybe another tariff with same allowance and price but no roaming or 12 month pack.

Also I didn't know anything about cashback but it was very easy to submit it online. So if u going for this deal and you don't know anything about cashback, don't worry I been where you are this time last year and I can promise you it's very easy

I had a similar problem with the recent EE offer. I signed up for it and when the SIM arrived I rang to ask a question. I had the usual "we're very busy..." so put my phone on loudspeaker then washed and dressed. I then packed by gym bag and got in the car. I drove to the gym, arrived and started to get changed then I was finally answered after 48 minutes. I didn't ask the question I was going to, I cancelled the contract instead.
I agree with you.

heat added for the deal but have to agree with some of the comments about Vodafone's shockingly poor customer service and all the billing errors. To be fair those in their stores are pretty good but speak to anyone on the phone and they just can't get anything right. Finally left last week after over ten years with them and trying out giffgaff now.

Never again....had a deal through carphone warehouse last time and Vodafone couldn't even transfer my number properly (totally useless CS as well).

Ended up with EE and have had no issues.

Request your pac now it lasts for 30 days, when you get the new sim sign up for a Vodafone account on there Web page and put a keep my number request in. If you do it before 5pm on a week day you number will transfer by 4pm the next day. No need to speak to anyone do it all your self

Vodafone are an absolute joke - tried to bill me for months for various SIMs that were faulty, their "support" is a disgrace, took it to the ombudsman in the end up - would never recommend them. Look at posts from their last "great" deal.

It's something you would need to find out for yourself, buy or order a free payg sim and stick. It in your phone to find out.
I could tell you I get 4g in my house and most of the places I travel to during the day. But this is useless for you unless you live in the southside of Glasgow.
On another note I have the Mobiles.co.uk 20gb deal it does come with roaming am now tv/spotify/sky sports.
I ported my number from 3. Filled in the online request form Monday was told it would transfer by 4pm Tuesday and it did.

Took your advice and they wouldn't match it :disappointed: boooo!

However after calling several different advisors I finally got a decent deal of 500 mins, unlimited text and 10GB data for £10.20pm for 12 months. Not as great but and really depends on who you get on the phone but I'm very glad I had this deal to compare to.
djbumrush
5 Aug 16 1 #32
I signed up for a similar deal about 18 months ago (unlimited minutes and texts, 10GB data for £13.50). Nothing with Vodafone was automatic, I had to request the transfer with the PAC and I had to request the 12 months of Spotify. After the initial speed bumps, it went very smoothly. Submitting bills for rebates was easy enough, you just to have set yourself a reminder to do it. It was relatively trouble free, so when the contract came to an end I contacted them for the PAC code and they offered me 200 minutes, 5000 texts and 8GB data for the same price (no hassle with rebates now) so I took it. I then had lots of problems, they only ever gave me 6GB of data, so just this past month I went over the 6GB and have had no end of troubles tryng to sort it out. For me it's been worthwhile, because I almost always buy phones off contract, it's a good deal anyway, they allow tethering (4GB) which comes in handy now and then and I would have Spotify Premium anyway, so that's a big savings for me. After the recent hassles, I'd think twice, but between Spotify and comparable tariffs, I've saved £100s over the last 18 months.

Extra £5 back through TopCashback or Quidco.

I've been using Mobiles.co.uk for the last year (part of the same Dixons Carphone group as e2save) and had zero problems.

Can anyone confirm if this does come with spotify etc?

EDIT looking on vodafones site this deal seems to come with 1 of Spotify/nowtv/sky sports plus 4gb roaming data. Seems great. If only it wasn't vodafone
villageidiotdan
5 Aug 16 #21
What you'll need to do is get a PAC from Vodafone, buy a PAYG SIM from another operator and port your number over to them for a couple of days. You then do the same; contact that operator for a PAC, sign up with e2save and port the number back in.

You can't use e2save/mobiles.co.uk for a sim-only renewal i.e. where you are already with the network.

Pretty sure this deal has already been posted... It also comes with free Spotify/Now TV etc.

Would be tempted but the recent bad news about Vodafone on BBC News and the way they have treated their customers put me off.
chattyuk
5 Aug 16 2 #18
I would stay as far as way from Vodafone as possible. I tried porting my number to them yesterday which ended up as a disaster.

Went on live chat to ask why my number hadn't switched over. After 15 minutes I was told it had (it hadn't) so the agent connected me to somebody else. After another 25 minutes the new agent told me it had switched over. Again I told him it hadn't as I had both phones in front of me. He told me it had. It was unbelievable so I gave up on that and gave them a call.

After holding for 35 minutes the guy told me porting can take 2 days. I said it's only supposed to take 24 hours. "Where did you read that?" Your website.. He was in the process of transferring me to the porting team but hung up instead..

So I called back and after another 35 minute wait I spoke to somebody else who didn't believe me it hadn't ported. She put me on hold and called my other number to check.. After she did that you can guess what happened, she hung up on me!

I called back and immediately asked to speak to a manager where I stopped the porting process and cancelled the contract.

I've never had as much difficulty with a phone company before!

I was with Vodafone for about 10 years and found their customer service really good, then something happened and they became completely unorganised and incapable of sorting even simple problems out. Dealing with them actually became really stressful (sounds a tad dramatic but it genuinely was). As soon as my contract was up I escaped and I'll never go near them again. Shame as I really rated them once. Maybe they've improved, if so then good deal but just be wary.

Not 100% relevant but can anybody with a bit of knowledge on phone provider's help me work out if Vodafone's signal reception is good/bad?

I ask this as my new job has a discount offer available, 20% off Vodafone contracts over £20 p/m. I mentioned it to a people I know and most seem to say the signal is awful!

Agree with Nannafish that both E2save and mobiles (are part of carphonewarehouse) and both allow you to upload your bills for the cash back claim. But this must be within 60days
Azzin
5 Aug 16 2 #8
Great deal, but you have to submit your cashback claim BY POST each time and get paid by Cheque, which is a faff IMO.

I used mobilephonesdirect.co.uk last time and the process was all online and payment was via BACS.

Much simpler.
nannafish to Azzin
5 Aug 16 1 #10
You don't have to submit your bills by post. Easy to upload them direct. Yes being paid by cheque isn't that great but its worth it.

On my current contract I spoke to Vodafone, and actually managed to get them to price match one of these cashback deals. Although the best deal around at the time was about £6 for 600mins, unlimited texts and 3gb data.
