That's a good deal, although the Red value SIM deal may offer some a better deal if they value the Spotify/Now TV entertainment part.

good deal at a good price. vodafone are genuinely loathsome these days and sometimes e2saves cashback system falls to an ar5e...other than that...yip 7.50 a month on a proper network for 15gb wont be beaten

Excellent deal if you can deal with redemption side of things. Considering there was an e2save redemption deal posted last week for 12gb data @ £8pm which got a good deal of heat, I would certainly consider this hot.

Came off a 12 month Mobiles.co.uk sim only with redemption ... No issues at all ... so hoping this one is the same.

I noticed a note at the bottom of the e2save website saying please note the network provider reserves the right to increase your line rental during the 12 month contract-has anyone experienced this? don't want to take this contract out if they're going to bump up the price few months down the line. ....

It's a toss up between this and the talk mobile 10pm deal without having to claim cashbook but less minutes text and data

OK just ordered it myself ... Cant see anything wrong with the deal, and nothing else beats it.

Though just noticed that at no point did it ask me what size sim I wanted ... Will send them an email.... Need a micro Sim, assuming I will get one of those sims which you can snap out to a smaller size.

Moved from 3 to Voda in previous deal. Cust service is a bit shabby being all oversea but 3 was also over seas.

The reception is better on Voda, I get 4g more often than on 3 (Surrey). Although don't think it's quite as fast. That being said I have seen down load speeds of 78mps on Vodafone so it's not to slow.

I'm on three's legacy unlimited data for £15 (for now). if I wasn't, I'd have gone for this!

Don't want to transfer off of 3 as they still say there are no plans to end mine(the ones they hiked a few months back were the cheaper version of my deal)

Personally I don't like the Vodafone for the following reasons:
1) The company don't pay UK tax, as they do use tax avoidance scheme
2) Signal in my town is terrible, the best signal around recycling centre only

Vodafone - by far the worst mobile company I have ever used

Poor signal reception in many areas

Terrible customer care

Moved to O2 and they're a lot better, and I got a good deal though mobiles.co.uk when the iPhone 6 first came out (5GB data, unlimited texts, 500 mins - £30 a month)

Terrible network, wouldn't recommend them to anyone, not to mention they have the highest complaints out of all mobile networks in the UK, also their plans aren't capped, even if they tell you it is, i was later told a cap doesn't exists on their network

Whether this deal is any good (assuming you're after the data) is entirely down to how good the data signal is in your area. I'm in Edinburgh, and last time I tried Vodaphone, the data signal was abysmal. But with Three, it's very good.

As an aside, if it's the data part you're after, you can get double the data (so 30gb) but with unlimited texts and 600 minutes (no of minutes is my lowest priority these days!) for only an extra fiver a month. And they're currently giving a £50 Amazon gift card with that particular contract. So it's near as dammit the same price as this. So if Three are better reception for you, might be worth a look.

Ah. Sorry. That was based on the pre-cashback monthly price (£20). Three are doing 30gb for £25pm but with a £50 Amazon voucher which makes it just over £20pm.

I'm not too sure but I would assume it would be in the t&c that come with the sim. otherwise logging in or giving them a call should get you the answer. Looking on their site it says roaming and entertainment packs only come with the RED sims so that's why I assume this won't come with them. Would be great if that's not the case though.

Actually I took out the 12GB red value iphone sim deal, so I'm still in with a shout!

oh that one is definitely fine. you also get 4gb roaming data and unlimited roaming mins/texts. Thats the one I would get if vodafone wasn't so bad in my area

If you got the red deal you definitely get the entertainment package. Roaming means to use outside your normal area e.g. outside the uk. so you have 12gb to use in the uk each month and an additional 4gb to use in other countries (which includes most europe countries) I don't have the sim so I'm not sure how you choose your entertainment package but I would assume you will have to setup an online account with vodafone and add it there.

Another question....Once I get my sim I aim to port across a number from an existing account on T-Mobile - I have the pac code ready. Do you think I should do this before or after I've ported across the number?

Before or after, just avoid the transfer day so you don't run into issues.

Just received my Sim (took a few days to arrive) ... My better signal in the house in my area compared to my old 02, so pretty happy.

Though logging into the Vodaphone page, it shows the monthly cost as £23 a month ... not £19.55 like it says it should be on my E2Save account page ... So have sent them a message to query it... It may come back in the cashback, unsure. Will let you know what they say.

Vodafone CS confirmed that the sim I purchased - i.e. unlimited texts/mins and 12GB for £8.50 after cashback - does qualify for the entertainment bundle - result!

Sorry for so many posts....UPDATE - old number now ported to new Vodafone sim and CS at Vodafone set up Spotify premium free for 12 months. Still got a £32 monthly charge rather than the £19 agreed with e2save.....

Will give them a ring on Tuesday to see if they updated my account mate ... so fingers crossed, otherwise I'll threaten to cancel in the 14 day cooling off period.

UPDATE: the entertainment option - in my case Spotify Premium - is now live on my phone and definitely free of charge for the life of the sim (12 months). I've found the Indian call centre guys okay and very polite - BUT it did take 3 live chats online and about 90 mins of effort!

The E2Save invoice error has not been sorted as yet, but I'm not too worried as the contract is quite clear and they've said they'll sort it out.

So far, so good and once the monthly amount is sorted, then it'll be a damn good deal......

Should be sorted now ... Just had another chat session with them. I explained to the guy I bought the sim via E2ESave, and what the price should have been. He checked, and updated my account to put the additional discount on from next month, and applied a credit to the account to make up the difference for this month.

I was then cheeky and asked if he could give my Spotify, and he applied that to my account as well :smiley:
Just have to wait for an hour before I activate it apparently.

So will see what happens from next month.

Good for you! BTW the wait an hour message turned into overnight for me (not 9pm but 10am next day). I got an email and the process was quicker than the previous one that didn't work.

I've had no luck with Vodafone CS sorting out the invoicing query, so I might try again, if I can muster up the energy!

So, has anybody successfully received their cashback? The reason I ask is that my bill still shows £23, but with a discount applied that actually brings it below the fabled £19.55 figure. Is anybody else in this situation?

yeah mine is similar, however i had the back payment from my first bill when i overpaid refunded on the november bill too. My cashback claim was approved however not got the cheque through yet as they say theres a 3 week delay due to it being christmas

It seems I had nothing to worry about. I submitted the cashback claim on e2save's website, and a couple of days later they texted me back telling me the claim had been successful and to expect a cheque within 8 (yes, eight!) weeks. I don't mind waiting :smirk:
