If you want a semi-realistic WW1 game this is a much better choice than Battlefield 1, definitely the best WW1 FPS out there!

IMO if you want semi realistic play Verdun, if you want hectic fast paced action play Battlefield 1 like Fighting on a Zeppelin?

Having played the BF1 alpha, and OP mentioning if you want a 'semi-realistic' WW1 game, then Verdun is definitely that. As Skykid said, Battlefield 1 is more catered to instant-action and cool explosions.

Looking to pick this up on PS4 (out tomorrow).
I am a bit on the fence tho as from the vids and comments I've seen it seems difficult to know who the hell is who, friend or foe.
I bought this when it was first announced and have it's great fun and well worth the money at this price. There seems to be a great relationship with the devs and the players too which is nice to see. It's come a long way since it was first released and have to say they have a really cool feature at Christmas when you have snowball fights too lol.
