For what it's worth, I wouldn't rule this out just because it doesn't have a sewn in groundsheet. On the south coast we don't really have midges, but I do remember camping in Scotland and being VERY glad that the tent was completely sealed from them, with airflow via mosquito netting.

Was just about to buy it but saw you can get bugs in the tent as the ground sheet isn't sewn in. Better leave it well alone.

I personally prefer a sewn in groundsheet too, but they can get very hot in warm weather. For that reason, many people prefer a tent with a bit more ventilation like this one.
I have used tents before with a bathtub style groundsheet before, and although you do get the odd little critter, they are few and far between. Some of these comments make it sound like you'd wake up to an infestation of killer spiders!

Had the 400 , loved it!
Mine had linked in groundsheet that was joined to the fully sewn in bedroom... Never had a problem with water or creepy crawlies, hot from me, great quality tents!

Personally, I would avoid Vango and spend on a Outwell. Personal experience

Vango and Outwell are both considered to be pretty equal in terms of quality. You'll see loads of debates online about the two, and for every "my Vango tent was rubbish/brilliant" comment you'll find the same for Outwell.
I have a larger Outwell family tent and a smaller 4 berth Vango, and I love them both...

Nope, the one we bought had a separate ground sheet, but the tent itself has a sewn in floor sheet too

Those that have had the tent could you please comment whether it has 2 bedrooms or 1? Would prefer separate bedrooms. The picture makes it look like it may be one bedroom but with a divider?

It has an internal liner which creates 2 bedrooms side by side. One of the principal reasons we bought this was to keep the young ones right next to us rather than at the other side of the tent like other designs.

Linked in groundsheet usually means it isn't sealed in but plenty of very expensive tents aren't sealed because some prefer more ventilation, still perfectly weatherproof.

Great price, but be aware it doesn't seem to have a sewn in groundsheet, so I wouldn't want it in midgy Scotland.

Unless you have the tent fully zipped up at all times you will always get midges....they have wings you know! I just use a decent citronella candle or two and that seems to keep them away.

I have just spent 4 weeks in France in the Odyssey 500. The tent is completely sealed.

I have the 5 man version and its a great tent. Withstood some horrendous welsh nights of rain and gusts.
