I've stuck a reservation in. Still really looking for something water proof/resistant but this looks reasonable.

My X220 is 300x210x~40 so given the above dimensions, does anyone know if this is going to be snug or ample or just plain not fit?

It wont fit. It will go in with a little effort and be pretty tight, but the end of the laptop will protrude from the sleeve and it wont be possible to zip it shut. I'll be keeping the one I bought as it's just to give that protective padding to my X220 while in my rucksack.
