Thanks for info, wish I lived nearer to Newcastle as I live at Berwick, maybe it's just the larger stores that have them

I stock up in Tescos. it's usually down by 50p a box. So usually £3.
So well worth it. but, alot of the problem is:- Do you add the milk before or after removing the teabag? Proven to make a much nicer & stronger cuppa by removing the teabag first!! Try it you may be pleasantly surprised.

Yorkshire Gold a bit more expensive than the normal bags, well worth it. I also try to stock up when they're on offer in supermarkets too.

Thanks OP ..heat added . I do not mind if they are slightly weaker as Yorkshire tea is usually a bit to strong for me.
at roughly 1p for a cuppa I am very happy,,.cheers

Good price for PGTips at Waitrose but I find its now so weak that I need more tea bags per pot so in effect they're not such good value. On your advice I'll try these Yorkshire tea bags before stocking up because I'll now keep a look out for Yorkshire Gold. I have bought some Punjana tea to try in my quest for a PGTips replacement but not used it yet.

I would like BR to come back (not because I think it would be better but just for nostalgic reasons) but with the current state of our railways I don't think renationisation is the answer.
I remember they used to give free tea to Standard Class customers on the Midland Main Line route from London to Sheffield soon after privatisation. That offer didn't last very long!

But the tea only fills 16% of your bag and when you fill it, delivery is £2.99 even for Prime users.

Well, I'm a lover of both PG and Yorkshire and just wait till the offers come round which are nearly always 240 bags for £3. Usually in either Asda, Morrisons, or Heron. I did note though, that the quality control at Yorkshire can be a bit naff. My last lot of Yorkshire was slightly weaker than usual so I opted for PG. But, like I say, between the two, I'm guided by the price....

Don't get mad with me either. I typed it as one. Google decided it was two.

I'll ask Oxford English to change the dictionary.

Agree there about PG Tips. 240 bags in Waitrose are 2.99 at the mo, so good deal. But this is better.
However, already said, Yorkshire 'GOLD' is the best tea out there.
But try and find it at a low price, almost impossible.
GOLD is best Yorkshire, by a mile. Yorkshire Tea (this one) doesn't even come close. On a par just above PG Tips.
Go 'GOLD'. If anyone ever sees it at a hotdeal price... POST IT UP IMMEDIATELY! Pleeeeaaasssee. :innocent:

Agree, good deal. Hope our Morri's has some.
However, Yorkshire 'GOLD' is by far the best by absolute miles, Yorkshire Tea or Clipper comes nowhere near.
One snag, and one snag only, the PRICE!!
I have never seen a really hot deal on GOLD, yeah it gets reduced a bit now and then, but nothing much.

Do you drink it with your little finger sticking up while deciding which fondant fancy to have that you've displayed beautifully on your best china cake stand complete with doilies? :smirk:

I remember hearing about someone who would put their teabags out in the sun after being used to dry them out, and then reuse them later? This is when teabags were a "luxury" item and premium product.

Are you mad? :stuck_out_tongue:
Unless you Yorkshire folk get the REAL THING, and us soft southerners get the sweepings from the factory floor?
Plus they're weak enough for one use - it'd be pure water in the second cup. Unless you're a Homeopath?
