Heat added, don't you need to register a payment method to get these or does the Xbox live credit do, I know when I try to get the backwards compatible games I have to register a card/payment

It's the 2014 release for Xbox One, so it's not a backwards compatible title.

i have like 15 pounds credit on my account but when i want to buy the game it asks me for a new credit card and there is no way to use the credit.

You mean like Castle Crashers, Castlestorm, Gears Of War, Halo: Spartan Assault, Saints Row IV or Shadow Complex. Nope, no chance at all.

So Castle Crashers was free if you owned it on 360 and is a re-release definite edition. Gears one is BC but a much bigger franchise and the ultimate edition is different so they are not carbon copies. Halo Spartan Assault is Halo, MS biggest franchise. Saint Row was a multiplat game and Shadow Complex is a new definite edition.
Strider on XB1 is £3 and not BC, buy it or don't it is your choice.

I bought it using my Xbox credit, on the Xbox One console itself. I have had similar problems (paying with credit not being an option) in the past on both the Xbox One Smartglass app, and on xbox.com, but other times it's allowed me to use my credit on both. I don't know why it happens.

Took the plunge for £3 as I loved the original game.
Didn't think much of this for the first hour but when the game opens up a bit, it gets really great.
It's basically Metroid wearing a lovely Strider costume.
Loads to see and do, huge map to explore with secrets to find.
Brilliant game and well worth the 3 notes.
